Uwharrie Trip May 25th/26th

Gulches June 22nd is too far out to be my next time off road and I am busy the next two weekends. I am hoping to get a few people together for a Uwharrie ride. I am sure there will be a few of you guys who want to join me.

Let me know your thoughts about a night ride. Possibly people getting there late Friday afternoon/night hanging out until about 9 or 10 and then hitting the trails. Sleep along one of the trails and then hit a few more in the morning.

I am going ahead and setting the dates for the 25th/26th, so people who want to go can plan. The plan is to arrive Friday evening set up camp and hang out for a bit. Wait until dark and then hit a few trails during the night. Camping the night and getting up and riding a few more trails on Saturday. I hope you guys can make it. I will start a list on the 1st post of people who are planning on going.

1) Brian & Adrienne (camping Friday night)
2) Madtoy (Saturday at least, leading a night time bigfoot hunt)
3) 4running (camping Friday night)
4) FJDarrel (camping Friday night)
5) BigDogDewey (Maye camping, maybe bringing wife)
6) Darklight (Saturday only)
7) 85Runner (camping Friday night, bringing buddy)

Is this you backing out of the May 12th ride?

Yes. My son was invited to a birthday party, and my wife wants me to go.

Haha, it is what it is. I may join you this next time, I would be interested in camping, I wanted to do it this year before it gets really hot

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. Come mid-June through August it might just be too hot to camp.

I may be able to do one of those days - and maybe even camp....

i think i will actually be able to make either oneof those trips, maybe even with new sliders

i might be able to also ..just need to get the truck back together...

Well it looks like we can get 4-5 vehicles at least. Lets go ahead and set the date and decide if we want to make it a Friday night run or just a Saturday ride.

My vote:

May 25th/26th - Friday night run.

You also planning to camp Brian?

Yes. Along the trail somewhere.

My preference would be get there around 7 and set up head out around 10. Ride for a few hours, sleep, and then hit a few in the morning.

i would love to get in on this...hopefully i wont be grounded then...the truck should be back together and all good ...

That would work for me, I think, let me make sure it's not on my graduation date or anything!

I am counting on you coming. You have the strongest bumper in the group going. I was hoping you would drive blind and clear all of the obstacles so my FJ doesn't get hurt!

Well, Brian, you are a parent, I am sure you would want to see your child graduate at the stupid ceremony. Yea I think it is a total waste of time, I could be at work making money.

Alright, no one has posted a preference for the date. Let's give it a night and then I am going to set the date. Looking like the 25th unless some body posts different.
