The Facebook group is also trying to assemble a ride for that weekend. I linked this thread in. Would be cool to have some of those guys come over, but they are a bit more west compared to HC and the other options mentioned.

I'm down for a "maybe". I can't recall if I have family obligations that weekend or the weekend prior/post.

Also down for a maybe on a Sunday trip.

I may be able to swing a Sunday trip as well.

Lets do Richland Sunday. Sounds like there is a Hurricane Creek run Saturday. Would be fun to do both!

How far is HC from RR? ..and is there a good camping spot between the two...like a National Forest with free primative camping? Since our government cant pass a simple budget, and clearly cares more about foriegners who are nothing short of terrorists in the making,...

HC is at mile marker 7 on I-40, RR is exit 123 then a good ways up 321 from 40. The Linville Gorge wilderness and Wilson Creek Wilderness are both in the area and you can camp in either one. I think you have to get a permit after March 1 for Linville Gorge but they're free from the Pisgah Ranger's Office.

If this works out with the two rides on these 2 days I plan on grabbing a hotel somewhere...probably towards Richland... that way I'll be good to go and close enough that morning. Sounds like a good turnout brewing between this forum and the FB page.

Nah, Richland is her favorite place to go. We is volunteering at a big consignment sale on Sunday, so we can sell stuff in the Fall sale.

Which day would you be possible for?

Saturdays are best for me, but I am thinking about taking the following Monday off. This makes Sunday possible as well. I am still just a maybe though. I am not driving to hurricane creek again though. It's too far, for too little, for two trips too close together.
