2nd Annual Night Time Trail Ride (Interest Thread)

Anyone interested in hitting a few trails at Uwharrie in the dark? All you guys with your fancy off road lights, here is a chance to use them other than the mall on Saturday night.

We had a good time last year. Who is interested?

Depending on dates. I'm interested

Due to the temperatures, mid April to mid May would be best.

I don't really have a date in mind. There are a few weekends that I cant do. What we did last year is meet up between 7-8 on Friday. Goofed off until the sun went down and then hit a few trails. Then we met a few more guys that Saturday and did a little more wheelin.

How about Friday:
April 19
May 3

(These are really the only weekends I am free until close to June. )

either would work for us...however the 19th wont work as good as the 3rd....saturday the 20th Angie and I are walking in the Greensboro ALS walk...id love to do the night run AND the next day so the 3rd would work better for me...

and I feel as if i have been called out...(all the mall lights)...

And for sure you do NOT NEED lights for a night ride...

I would like to come along, but it would be a lot better for me on the 3rd as well! A night wheel sounds like a lot of fun.

I should be able to make either weekend, although the 3rd is also better.

it sounds like the 3rd is the prefered date so far....

Yeah, sounds like we should just plan on the 3rd. Maybe the April 19 or 20 could be a gulches trip. I know Casey want to go again this spring.

Lemme know if or when you guys decide a gulches trip.... I live about an hour from there here in SC.... also got a place down on the river if you fellas ever wanted to come down and camp the night before... Me and a good long time friend of mine Nick (hes xxBlack_Out on the forum) have been talking for a while about taking the FJ's down there, ive just kinda been holding off until i got the winch on to go!

I think Erin and I could be up for a night ride on the 3rd. None of the other dates work, but the 3rd is money.

We actually have camping reservations for the 4th on Saturday night. I might see if I can extend it to a 2 night camping trip if the 3rd turns out to be the date!

Angie said to me this past trip that she would like to actually camp at URE and i think this trip would be good for that...though in the end it may just be me...but we will see...

Have to find a new spot to camp though. They blocked off the old spot.....

I thought it was open when we drove by. The one on Wolfs Den right?

I might have confused it with another. That spot should be able to fit 5 or 6 trucks I think.

Yeh, we had 5 last time with plenty of room. we could line the perimeter with the vehicles. That should shield some of the noise from the other trail riders. That would leave some room for tents, hammocks, and burnt chaise lounges.

im interested, but i think i would personally rather go down and set up camp, wheel a bit in the day to re-familiarize the trail then leave the wife and kids at the tent. plus, i think i'll camp off the trail next time rather than arrowhead.

Yes, but it is a secret.

It's about halfway through the wolfs den trail. It is where the middle entrance meets the main trail.
