I am not sure. We are getting ice and sleet in Raleigh. I just went to lunch, damn the roads are slick as crap

well as of right now we are getting nothing at all...we did have little white pellets but nothing now...the news however says that we are supposed to get some nasty weather around 2pm...i dont know...maybe ..

More sleet here, and lots of it. I almost pulled a Stanley Steamer van out of the ditch on the way home from work. Pulled off the road, got ready to hook him up, and then realized I didn't have my recovery straps. Oh well. I went home and got warm.

LOL, yea man it was slicker than snot when I went out. We will see what it is like coming home from work this evening. Could be a nightmare

Was kind of hoping to see some stuff down here too. We're dry as a bone....a very cold bone however.

well we got the nastyness now!! coming down pretty good and Angie said that it was getting slick on her way home from work early...

Well we just made it to Asheville... 5 hours later! Just so y'all know, Lenoir is a soupy, icy mess!

YUP! I was just about to post that!

I was up there the day after that happened, it was really bad and people are pissed, my truck stands out around here as a off roader, but luckily I dint have any dark mud on me, just the snow and sand from the road. I had been going up there every weekend it snowed, but not anymore! Im staying clear till this blows over. people are turning in license plate numbers left and right!

Last month... and this is the maintained road!


Just past the parking lot wear you can hike up to the peak, were they had to cut a fence down, it was pretty F'ed up...

X2....!!!! this is exactly why so many places have and are being shut down...

Yup, and its even a state maintained road! google Harmon Den, and Max Patch road, those are the open maintained dirt roads! They plowed one road and sand the other lol. But there are side trails in the area too that are legal.

But these jack asses basically drove through a city park! not only is it federal land but a big tourist spot here! That day even with snow on the ground there were about 12 other cars up there with their families (like those 3 ppl behind me, I dont know them lol). The Appellation Trail is clearly marked up there too by the peak and they drove all over that! So yes this is a pretty big deal out here.

Sucks too, even down in the valley I live in we got a lot of snow last night.. but I'm gonna stay in till the game starts...

I own 2 acres 6 miles down from there. Unbelievable. That will be the reason if hurricane gets closed. Somebody needs to do some jail time for that travesty.

Speaking of Hurricane Creek. I guess there is a run in the making for the 23rd. I am highly considering it. Anyone here? Wanted to inquire as the Facebook page and this forum are pretty separated sometimes
