Well to make a long story short, my grandfather isn't doing so well. Hospice nurse said he may not make it past Wednesday, he also wanted me and my brothers (3) to be pall bearers

What time are you guys shooting for? I must have missed that part in this thread.

The plan is to leave from the Walmart (in Lenoir) parking lot at 10:am.

I am looking at possibly going over Saturday, riding some trails in Brown Mountain, camping either at Mortimer, or somewhere in the Pisgah Nat'l Forest, up Sunday and come meet you guys at Walmart all stinky from no shower! Wifey is pushing for a weekend trip of some kind, we'll see if she was serious or not!

Good news guys, I am back up in this.

Instead of going all the way to Nebraska I just went to Raleigh and helped my mom get packed and everything. It was just going to be way too much school for me to miss!

I also rode OLD NC 105 on the way back to school, just to decompress. That's a cool ride

Well I'll be camping in Pisgah National Forest this weekend, but will be with some other buds who unfortunately drive wimpy cars (not into the wheeling stuff for some dumb reason). If I get the opportunity, I'll sneak away, but it's not looking too likely.

And Casey, my condolences to you and your family...

Sorry for your loss Casey...also sorry you couldnt make it to the funeral...glad however that you will be joining us...cant wait to get in on this trip ...some friends of Angies will be joining us in the vehivle...should be fun!

LOL, sorry to flip flop on you guys so much, but I found a flight last night for under 700 bucks both ways and went ahead and booked it...leaving today at 4

I am planning on going.

So with this hurricane coming towards the OBX I may be out for that trip just for the sake of "what if" especially having a 6 month I don't know that I want to risk it so if that's the case ill definitely be down for this trip on Sunday.
