You don't need to be lifted to get through Richland (unless you follow Larry). There are spots that you definitely should be lifted, but you can drive around those. I can't think of any spots that require a lift that you can't go around. I think there's a video out there of a guy running through it with a stock Pathfinder with no problem.

Thanks for the heads up MadToy. I think I can get through no problem I just want to be able and do the really fun stuff
I might not be able to make it this run but I am thinking about the next time around though. I will keep an eye on this thread in case something changes. Itching to hit some trails right now

I will bring these, all attached to my FJ. Seriously though you are welcome to use my spare on your lowest corner.

I will pay more attention to the trail with a focus towards a stock 4-runner. I am pretty sure the main part of the trail is passable, but still tricky enough to be fun. I will try to give you more feedback so you can maybe go next time.

I think you should bring a GoPro and video the entire ride

Gotta keep an eye on the weather up there for this weekend too. Although rain can make it more fun, we don't want to get trapped between a couple of flooded out bridges....

The FJs in the videos are NC forum members. I think the biggest fear would be on the Lenoir side. So we should be able to recognize before we enter the trail. I think in this video they were just running the first part and came back to find the bridge flooding. After the first few creek crossings I don't recall any real low lying bridge areas, but I have only been there once and could easily be mistaken.
Might better bring reserve camping gear!

I cant get an answer out of the co-pilot, so if I show, I'm planning on being at the Sheetz at 0900. Should know if I'm coming by tomorrow evening.

Looks like they're expecting almost an inch of rain overnight Friday, ending in the morning Saturday. It will certainly be slick out there. I'm good either way. If you still want to go, I'll go. If you want to push it off and try for the 17th instead, I'm good with that too....

I would say if we have 4 vehicles let's do it. If there isn't that many people wanting to go, plan for later. Post up if you are in.

I have some good news and some bad news.
Bad news I will not be making it out this weekend.
Good news. I am planning on making it out on the 17th
Have fun and get some pic's! I would like to know what the water level is on some of the creek crossings.

When we went last time it was right after the snow/rain. The parts you had to cross were maybe 12 inches. Some of the parts we chose to play in, were a little deeper.

Doesn't seem like we have the interest for this one. I will try to see if my wife will let me go on the 17th
