| I've not touched the truggy in over a month. Right now it is on hold while finances are being directed more toward the house and property. Sometimes real life just gets in the way | |

| Hey Nick,
I have not been working on it much lately. I do hope to get some time in on it this weekend, starting the back half.
I thought the same about your 89 when I saw that you had it for sale. A couple companies have an SAS kit available for it, all the geometry already figured out. I'd link it over using leaf springs.

| Over the last couple weeks when I had some extra time, I got Camo up and running. I bought this 83 in 5/10 with the intent of using it as a parts truck. It was $350.00 and I could not pass it up. Had a new carb and fuel pump on it. It ran when I bought it, but not well. Turns out the carb was full of dirt, I took it apart and cleaned it. No fuel filter and an old marine fuel tank lead to the dirt in the carb. I put in new plugs and a cap and rotor and changed the oil. It is running now but needs a fuel cell. There is no return to the marine tank and the fuel pump pressure keeps blowing past the float valve and flooding it out. We are going to use it around here as a field truck for a while. We hope to be starting fence work soon so it will come in handy. No doors makes for easy access I have another cab with doors and fenders so I think somewhere down the road I will put them together and make a complete truck. The frame is in good shape so maybe a mild lift and a locker, replace the wood bed with a metal varierty and it can be a shop truck. Time will tell. | |

| I got a little done today on the truggy. The main hoop is fit and two main cross members as well. I use the blue tape to get a visual on where the cross members are going. ALso made up two taller adjustable stands that will support the rear most part of the back half while being constructed. | |

| I got to work on the Truggy again this afternoon. The upper hoop is tacked in with the two rear vert tubes. Also got one upper tube in. Starting to feel like a truck again. I gan get a feel for where and how I can hang the rear fenders. | |

| It has been a long time comming. Still has a long way to go but at least it is starting to look like a truck now. I was out in the shop last night sitting on a stool starting at it. Remember that scene in "Days of THunder" when RObert Duvall is talking to the car in the barn? well..................... | |

| OK here's the deal. My Step daughter is here for a week on Spring Break, she'19. The barn manager at the farm is 21, they are pals. Those two and my wife traveling in a pack all weekend. I escape to the shop :hhmm: I used a random piece of tube in the shop to use as a shock hoop. The final shock hoop will be taller and the front leg will land on that lower node toward the cab. It will be a mix of 1.75" and 1.50" tube. If you look close on the PVC pipe there are two red lines, proposed shock mounting heigts. The back end is basically a 3 bar triangulated truss on each side tied side to side at several points. There will also be a second B hoop inside the cab along with A Piller and Halo. The exo is to protect the cab, interior to protect occupants. Everything you see on the cab will be interior. The two B hoops will be connected through the top and as sceen. | |

| You use more painter's tape than most painters I know. What length rear shocks are you anticipating? | |

| It can be done and still keep the bed. Many bob the bed for better departure angle and some also cut the wheel wells bigger to accomodate bigger tires. II really all depends on what you want.
