| We would like to have a toy drive and get together for Toys For Tots. This will be at the Darryls restaurant in Greensboro on High Point Rd. at I-40. This is the same Darryls restaurant that we had our last get together.
We are looking at having this on the 23rd of November 2013. The time will be around 2pm. We will lock down the time in a week or so.
Please bring a NEW UNWRAPPED gift. These will be handed over and collected by the U.S. MARINE CORPS.
Please help us make this years Christmas a great one for as many deserving children as we can. Thanks so much.

TOYS FOR TOTS MEET AND GREET!
U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program
MISSION:
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
GOAL:
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
Please bring the whole family and join us for the 1st annual
NCFJ Toys for Tots Meet and Greet.
Where: Daryl’s Wood Fire Grill
3300 High Point Rd
Greensboro, NC 27407
When: Saturday November 23, 2013 Time: Meet time is set for 2:30.
We have the enclosed patio reserved starting at 4 pm.
Please bring a new unwrapped toy for either a boy or girl.
We need to get a good head count for the restaurant. Please let us know if you will be attending by pm to either Michael or myself on the forum. An event has also been set up on Facebook if you would rather respond that way.
We hope to see everyone there! Toys for Tots is a wonderful charity… every child deserves a toy at Christmas! If you can’t attend you can still help make a child’s Christmas a little brighter by finding a drop off location in your local area. You can learn more about Toys for Tots at www.toysfortots.com.

Just a quick reminder about this years 1st Annual Toys for Tots drive on Nov 23rd. If you are planning on coming (and we hope that you all are!!) please let us know so we can add you to the list. We want to make sure the space we have reserved at Daryl's is large enough. This is a great charity to add to the list of charity's NCFJ has raised money for in the past. Plus a chance for club members to get together on last time before the busy holiday season sets in. | |
