Nah. It's only $30 if it's your first time with the $5 registration fee. $25 after that.

Sometimes he doesn't charge the initial registration fee. My first time I was not charged, but I saw him charge others on other trips.

Went down to the Gulches today with Bobby and his 4Runner group. I spoke to Skip about our Feb 17th trip. You guys that are camping need to reserve a spot (even for the parking lot). He is only letting so many people stay and there are already a number staying that night.
We need to go ahead and get a head count so I can email Skip. He is willing to open the park to us early on Sunday. 10am
The trails were slick. This was the toughest I have seen the trails. I failed several attempts on my favorite hill climb. It was on the 4th or 5th time I finally made it. I did accomplished my #1 goal of not cutting a tire!
The 4runner group got tired of standing around watching us (their words). We went through 80% of the easy trails already. They insisted there were more, so we let them lead through some easier trails and we followed. With in 30 minutes 3 out of the 4 4runners hit trees! (including Bobby ). You couldn't make this stuff up.
I will say this, 2 of them ended up going through a tough trail that we hadn't ever been down.
A few videos of the day. I didn't take much.

I'd be surprised if they were hindered. Most of those 4th gens will be open/open.
Besides Austin who has air locker front and rear

It was the open/open thing. Austin, Nick and I did everything we normally do. There others were a little worried, so they didn't do the Bad Mamma Jamm Hill, J-Gees Hill, or Palmetto crossing. These trails take a little spotting (and were difficult that day) so there were people standing around. If you are not looking to go next, it may seem like thats all you were doing.
Also we spent about 20 minutes practicing recovery on J-Gees hill, and another 30 minutes when Austin sank his rear in the mud. We had to use Nick' snatch block.
