Driving from Concord to Triangle Towne Center 4-21

It's on I-40/I-85 (one and the same through Burlington) and it's around mile marker 139. If you're coming from Winston, just follow the I-40 signs. You'll see the big blue signs for "Rest Area"

Mile marker 139 on I40/85 on the west/south side of Burlington (before you get to Burlington).

anyone want to establish a call we can use to try and locate each other on the road? maybe something like this for example "Sun Cruiser 6 calling on NCFJ cruisers comeback" does that sound corny? My wife is making fun of me right now!!

Concord Mills is at exit 50 & this rest area is just past the Concord/ Kannapolis exit HWY 29 Exit 58. Apprx 8 miles. Ill be there between 5:15 & 5:25. Sunfusion FJ with a Bike on the roof. Bike on roof if its not raining.

That's hilarious since I had that song playing on last year's convoy from the mall to Leith. See you guys soon!

To all that were in this part of the ride to Triangle Towne Center. We were near the back of the convoy & it was awesome to see the faces on all the other people heading down I-40.

Yes it was.....I remember looking over at one one car and the front passenger was leaned forward checking us all out as we passed by. What can you do when a convoy of such spectacular vehicles passes you at 80mph.

I was thinking that we must be kind of intimidating when we were all swarming around the slower cars.

Yeah I thought that as well. Like being surrounded by a group of bikers lol

I wanted to say thanks to the dozens of FJ's in line in front of me. With your help, and drafting behind Joe, I managed a full 16.1mpg for my whole trip. That's even better than I could get with my 265s! Since I was the last truck in the line, it was awesome watching the FJ snake overtake and swallow the other road prey out there!!
