Chad, were you asking me or the other Brian? (too many dang Brians) If you mean me, I will have to check with the wife. You are a decent enough guy, but my wife is very protective of our two little ones and you are kind of a stranger to her. I will check with her tonight and should be able to let you know tonight or tomorrow.

I preferrence is always earlier! I was thinking we could head out around 7:30 or 8 from huntersville. If I can leave Mooresville about 7 traffic won't be horrible. Any later and that traffic between exit 30 and exit 23 sucks rear end.

well im kinda on the fence about the trip now. I was thinking this was going to be a full day trip. like arive at the park no later than 9 and start wheeling. If its only going to be a partial day trip by the time we get there I may just drive the 4runner and wheel it instead of going through all the hassle of loading a trailer to bring the 1st gen out for a few hours of wheeling.

I think gulches normally doesn't open until 3 on Fridays. Nick called the owner and he is willing to open it earlier for us on this occasion. I want to say he told Nick he would open it at 10. 10 to 5 would still be a good amount of time. I think a few people are staying through Saturday.

I see... In that case I hate to back out on towing your 4runner down there but I'm going to stick to driving the 4runner for this trip. I can just leave early morning and meet you guys there.

Would you guys be interested in meeting somewhere around spartanburg, sc and caravanning the rest the way in to the Gulches.

I'm good with an 8am departure. That'll get us there right on time for opening the gates.

There's also a group going on Saturday and Sunday, so anyone the wants to make a full weekend of it can.

That's ok. I'll try to just ride with Casey then and pay for some of his gas.

you are 45 mins further away... Im in winston so its about a 3.5 hour drive for me. Ill leave winston about 6 and try to meet up with the charlotte crowd around 8

Chad, I talked to the wife and she has OKed it. I know your plans have changed now, but if they change back I can offer you a bed that Thursday night.

Im just going to head out early in the morning and try to catch you guys somewhere near spartanburg.

FYI to anyone camping they do like that you call in advance and it's 10 bucks, plus a 20 dollar deposit

Nick, How about I meet you at the CVS off of exit 23. We can leave from there at 8. I will probably get there early unless I hit more traffic than I anticipate.

I'm bringing the CB and hand radios.

Yeah, wait to you have two little ones, then you will understand why we need sleep.

Plus, getting up once at 4:30 ain't so bad. Try getting up at 10, 12, 2, 4, 6, go to work, repeat......

Im out all together... The 4runner is down for new calipers that wont be here until wednesday and I just dont want to chance stressing out about getting the truck ready in time.
