Gulches First Weekend in May

Seems like at least a few of us would be interested, Brian, Nick, and Adam most notably. I want to get down there before it gets HOT.

Anyways, how about a Sunday ride? Or is everyone only free on Saturday?

i thought that was the weekend to do the night ride at URE??

Only Saturday works for me. Plus they don't open until 11 on Sunday. That's too late in the day to start.

Yeah, we talked about this on Saturday. Since we switched the gulches trip to Uwharrie, the preference of the group was to go to the gulches that weekend.

Saturday works fine for me.

Nick, Skip was talking about Sunday being nice and dried out... I bet Saturday was still pretty mucky. No regrets! lol

so no uwharrie on the 3rd... I cant do the gulches that weekend. 3 hour drive one way for me and I was planning to load up and leave uwharrie by 2 or 3pm so I could be back in winston in time to get some rest before working sunday.

I guess count me out for the ride now.

Work on Sunday? You a preacher?

No, Retail Management... have to work that sunday due to a "special event sale" that starts that day.

I think there will still be a few guys going. No need to abandon the trip necessarily.

Sounds to me the URE Night Ride is a much better option...just sayin...

im a good solid maybe for the gulches...dont know for sure just yet but i should be able to....its just a long drive for a one day trip...

I would agree. Its just too much Uwharrie in a month. The night ride last year was really fun. The kids got a little anxious so we left before dark, but it was a different place in the dark.

solid maybe for me have a freinds 30th bday supper to go to but i think i have him convinced that he needs to ride along for his birthday and see some other FJ's in action. He's a jeep guy that i almost have converted maybe this will tip the scales.

Heck, he can bring the Jeep along

he sold it for a truck now hes looking again. Kind of the process jeep then truck miss the jeep get another jeep rinse repeat four times now. i give him a hard time about all in fun of course. He'll prolly just ride along it adds to the fun having more than one person in the car.

Ah gotcha. Always nice to have a tree spotter lol
