| 4th gen is showing its abuse from last year. Had to replace all the ball joints both cvs, both front wheel bearings a rear axle shaft and rear wheel bearing. Both rear driveshaft u joints, the tcase crossmember braces the reaer lca,s and the right rear lca mount on the axe side. All 4 rotor and pads had to be replaced as well as the right rear caliper. I think thats all so far | |

| Nothing i have to work... i am pretty close to ready to retire the 4runner from any difficult trail riding and only use it offroad when i want to take it easy | |

| and after redoing the shocks I need to redo the rear again... I freed up some front down travel ( its not fully drooped yet just ran out of wall) the rear on the other hand im going to have to swap my 12" travel shocks for some 14" travel ones then I should be all set for suspension. Backed all the way up the wall in 2wd on loose gravel. | |

| Toby with his doors on is not a bad ride... Much smoother offroad than the 4runner and comprable on the road. Just not as fast.
Get a good set of suspension seats and you wont know your riding in a 30 year old truck with lifted suspension and huge tires other than road noise. | |

| So a couple changes to both rigs... Got a 96 amp GM alternator installed in the first gen, got my new tires on the 4runner and had a chance to test them out a little. and the reason 4runners cant go bigger than a 285 without without doing some big budget mods. right side left side Then i loaded up the truck for this weekend, just need to reinstall the front driveshaft and fill the propane tanks on the way out of town. | |
