| So I want to make a trip and not just a weekend trip.
http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=4021+Nc+Highway+109+North,+Troy,+NC+27371+(Eldorado+Outpost)&daddr=Gulches+Off+Road+Vehicle+Park,+Indian+Mound+Road,+Waterloo,+SC+to:34.56486,-83.54534+to:beasley+knob%09Blairsville,+GA+to:Oliver+Springs,+TN+37840&hl=en&ll=35.209722,-82.265625&spn=3.145924,6.696167&sll=35.21163,-82.292215&sspn=3.145924,6.696167&geocode=FZ_fHAIdI_g6-ymD6sTdb4FUiDHWYdaDuxxfdA%3BFTbhDAIdYa0a-yG-KG0DkvcnAQ%3BFfxqDwIdBDMF-ymJTYlYqbNYiDH6UYU7-dx1VQ%3BFeYnFAId_2P_-indMcQQWj1fiDEtdhmZv7c8Ew%3BFer-JQIdzAH5-ilNMYES57hdiDG8vsE5qe2QGA&vpsrc=0&dirflg=t&mra=ls&via=2&t=h&z=8
Day 1: meet at the Outpost in Eldorado, NC and wheel Uwharrie Dinner in Troy NC Drive to Indian Mound, SC and set up camp
Day 2: Break camp and wheel Gulches, SC Dinner somewhere around Indian Mound, SC Drive to Blairsville, GA and set up camp
Day 3: Break camp and wheel Beasley Knob, GA Drive to Chatanooga gor dinner Drive to Oliver Springs, TN and set up camp
Day 4: All day wheeling at Coal Creek Dinner at camp with campfire and social time Day 5: Break camp Wheel a trail or two Head home
Would anyone be willing and/or able to make a run like this? Feedback is welcome but all the parks are stocker friendly and the drives in between are scenic and no very long on any given day. Looks like its approximately a 3 hour drive each day so Setting up camp would be a duck or dark set up.
I really think that a trip like this could have the potential to be a very memorable and a great way to meet a new faces from other states along the way.

| Looks very interesting...would love to do something like this. I'll look at the calendar at the office and see how far out I'd have to have to make it work. | |

| i like the idea..not sure when i would be able to do something like this but im interested in finding out. the length of the trip may have to be modified but the general idea is a good one. I like the idea of meeting new folks along the way and doing some possible "recruiting" too...ill definately stay tuned to this one.. | |

| Sounds like a fun trip with alot of things to do to keep busy. We would have to bring our dog or board him. Not sure it would be a good idea for him to come as he is very hyper and extremely protective of us. Beside that i would love to go on an adventure but the rest of the year is looking to busy to do much of anything for me. I would be down to do this in the Spring though for sure. | |

| This would not be a trip for thirds year. Second half if next year at the earliest.
The trip would have to be started on a Friday or Saturday since the gulches ate only open weekends. I want to go do some prerunning at Beasley knob and coal creek to get a general idea of terrain and where to go once we arrive add will as camping situations.
Once that stage is complete I want to have three months to past the planted event on the blue room, Toyota120, and TTORA. for the first time getting a run like this together I would like to have 10 trucks minimum and expect to pick up one out two day trippers at location.

| I would not be opposed to this. However I would be limited to doing this length of a trip in the Summer. |

| Very ambitious and I like it. I suggest either adding a day of non-wheeling for rest and recovery, or at least a half day in the middle. Maybe do some group sight-seeing at some interesting place?
I vote early summer or fall. Too hot in July or August. My 2 cents. Good idea CRogers6569!!!!

| Beasley knob us a short day and uwharrie is a short day.
The drive from Bradley knob to coal creek is very scenic and IM working on finding noon interstate roads to get from point a to b to c soe take in more countryside along the way.

| I would love to do this but the earlier in the year the better for me. I work from the beginning of May to the end of Thanksgiving week and go to college also so winter/early spring or late fall work best for me. | |

| Sounds like an awesome trip. I've only ever been to Uwharrie and some logging roads at the Boy Scout camp I used to work at. | |

| You'll need at least 3 days in Coal Creek to make it worth while........
I've thought of doing Harlan, Windrock then finish in Golden Mountain.

Not as much as say a new rear bumper! ...but that is probably why it fell off the radar before...

| That is a lot of fuel. Unleaded petroleum distillate, or Ultra Low sulfur diesel? | |
