October URE Run?

I had a great time this past Saturday and can't wait to do it again. I see there is a proposed Closing Day run in December, but maybe we can do another prior to that? I know the OBX trip is next month, but maybe a pre-Columbus Day run on October 8th?

I would love to go that weekend but i will be up in the Washington DC area visiting with family.

im thinkin the 8th would be ok for me too...might be better though on the 1st for me but im sure i can figure something out...ill know closer to the date...but i cant wait to get back out there .....

I have a 5,000 mile service scheduled for that day. So I will be a no-go then.

Im taking the buggy and 1st gen down there one weekend in October and camping the whole weekend. If you want to come join us feel free but it will be a much faster pace than what I run in the 4runner.

Hoping to get up with ou guys sometime soon up at URE. Rotating shifts is not a friend of having fun im always either working, sleeping or going to training. Looks like you guys have been having a blast.

Awesome ill do it man thanks for the offer. I worked retail for 3 years before I became a cop so I know how it is. I work 2 weeks of nightshift and 2 weeks of dayshift so its a pain to try and find time off usually!

Chad, let me know what weekend you are taking the buggy and Gen1. I could do a faster pace...maybe not as fast as your are thinking...

Scotty We have no problem chilling and waiting at the end of a trail. We generally park at teh lot at the bottom of Daniel and unload the trailers and run daniel up to RML, RML around to saw mill, saw mill, up wolfs den, out falls dam, up dickey bell, back around dutch john, across slab pile then bacck out RML back down daniel and done in about 2 hours. Then we spend the rest of the day fooling around and socializing. If we can get a couple of you guys up there we could meet you guys back at Kodak Rock and tool around with you the rest of the day.

I would love to do one during the first of October. Also as I normall have a day or two off during the week I am up for weekday trips as well.

im still in for an october run...just about any weekend is good for me...id like to do the camping thing next time...and maybe a night run too...aint skeered....

My brother and I will be down there the night of the 14th through Sunday the 16th. Camping details to come. Probably going to be camped out on wolf's den. Look for my 4 runner

correction on camping location... We will have three trucks and trailers so we will be camping at the art lilley parking lot area on falls dam. Should have a couple quads, my first gen and my 4runner, 2 f250's another first gen toyota, and the buggy

well about a week out and we have definite plans... I will be down friday night to camp and saturday we are testing two never been offroad builds of 1st gen toyotas... Mine and a friends.

Depending on how that goes we will be riding most the day sunday and returning home that night.

Feel free to join. Just meet us at the Falls Dam parking lot at the art lilley memorial campground around 9am and we will head out.

I will be there that weekend, but will be camping (at the campgrounds) with my extended family. I am sure I will be on the trails some. However it will be mostly easy going as I will have my mother or sister with me.

Hopefully I will see you in passing and can check out your 1st gen.

So this trip is for October 14th weekend, correct? I might try and make it out with my lady for camping that night, wheeling Sat. I might be bringing my Causin Billy. His Super Pooper Trooper is broken down so no trail runs for him but i am sure he will enjoy the ride!

Some things have come up and i will not be making it out this trip.

When are folks planning to hit the trails? Or is this not really a trail riding trip?

Scott, I will be out there most of the weekend. Camping, hiking, and of course hitting a few trails. I know I will be riding Saturday morning, although I don't think I will be able to keep up with Chad and his 1st gen. (although I am hoping to watch him some.) I will be riding along with another FJ, predominantly stock. If you are coming out there and want to ride along just let me know.
