| You need 2.5 center in/2.5 offset out i think it was a 2 inch pipe size . | |

| I think the FJ would be the same as the Tacoma. I had to get some 2.5" pipe to first go onto the stock pipe - as the OD of the stocker is an odd size, something like 2 5/16 or something like that. So I got some 2.5" OD pipe to slide on that, as the ID of that pipe fit right over it. I did this to mate it to my 3" muffler, so if you get a 2.5" ID inlet muffler, you should be fine mating it to the stock pipe.
Just remember the pipe is stainless, so a bit different to weld. I think it's 409. | |

| Mike, the stock size on these Toyota's is an odd size. It's not 2.25 and not 2.5 OD meaning outer diameter. If you get a 2.5 ID inner diameter in and out you're good. Most after market mufflers are ID anyway so 2.5" ID will slip right over the stock piping once you cut out the stock one. | |

| im the end i will probably just go with a flowmaster muffler...no real need to pour alot of money into it in my opinion...i would like a little more growl than stock but thats all...there is a muffler shop in Lexington, NC that has done all my exhaust work from my chevy 2500 with 454 and 38" super swampers to my taco and my tundra...and they are about the cheapest i have ever come across...honestly not on the top of my list but will get it done hopefully before Xmas... | |
