Moving to Wilmington...

Hey all! I figured I would put this on the forum so as to not announce it to the world just yet via Facebook.

Well, as the title says, Im moving.... err, planning to move... to Wilmington. My girlfriend and I decided to move out there about about 3 weeks ago and started applying for jobs. Luckily for her, she applied for (and was offered) the first job she showed serious interest in. Her first day is September 30th.

Me, on the other hand, I havent been so lucky. Ive applied for roughly 15 jobs and still waiting to hear back from most of them. One looks promising but the salary is a bit of a concern considering I need something full time to pay the bills, with health insurance, etc. Im writing this post to see if theres anyone in Wilmington or the Wilmington area (or know anyone) that might be able to steer me in the right direction. Every job Ive had, I got through a "connection" of some sort and Im starting to go cross-eyed from looking through all the random job postings. Ive pretty much lived by the "Its not what you know, its who you know" philosophy.

I have experience in a little bit of everything; retail store management, private high school admissions, biotech customer service, etc. Im not ruling anything out at this point and Im definitely keeping my options open.

Also, please DO NOT mention any of this on my Facebook as most people (including my current employer) don't know yet.
