Finally got around to making an account. Had a good time with all of you that went to uwharrie last month and I should be able to make it to this

The more the merrier. Although with all the young blood I am going to feel old. I need Paul to join us.

You definately want to make this one. It's my favorite place I have been, a pretty mild trail, but offers really great scenery and views

ALSO, can anyone who knows post a Google Maps directions link from the exit of Richland Road to the start of Old Highway 105. I have seen many people say it is minutes away, but when I plugged in directions it showed that it was an hour away....

I think RR and Brown Mtn would be doable in a day, just not RR, Brown Mtn and 105.

Hey guys I took old 105 home from Boone today and most of the leaves are turning and falling also so I'm not sure there will be a lot to look at leaf wise.

Yea we will see, the worst case is we miss peak, but I am sure there will still be something. I know the maples around me are starting to "turn" the leaves are just falling off of them without changing colors

The leaves in asheville are about 1/2 done and almost fully done at higher elevations, not sure about richland rd though.

I think we are good whichever weekend we go. With that said, if nick doesn't want to go we (my family and I) can do either weekend. I am really surprised there wouldn't be more interest in this.

Yes it is a mystery, I would have thought this would be a desired ride....what better time of the year is there to wheel

I'm still trying to find out what my son's football schedule is. Of course they always play their games on Saturdays, so I'm kinda screwed. Already skipped one to go to Gulches. I'll have to choose between Richland and the Nov 6 URE ride, since I don't think I can miss two more of his games.

On a side note, I drove through Blowing Rock today, and the foliage is just about at it's peak right now. Asheville was just starting to turn.

Good god, well I am kinda forced to the 27th now cause of work at any rate

I do!!! Hell I have gone down to OBX in February.....

No tourists, open beach, cool temps....all good things...

Well, I won't be able to make the 27th either. Looking like Saturdays are just no good for me for a while. I'll be missing all the good foliage.
