Useful for...
-Breaking glass in the event of an emergency -Weapon against someone approaching the vehicle -Easily accessible flashlight (duh!)
Made the mounts from those metal things you hang tools from in a shop (forget the name!!) and Plasti-Dip spray (about 5 coats). It's in there pretty tight but easy to pop out.
