| Hey guys, I am planning a trip to the area in mid July. Where does this road/trail exit at? Or do you just turn around at some point and come back out the way you went in? |

| It exits to a fire road which will take you past max patch continue down that road till you hit a stop sign take a right and follow the signs back to I40. Lemme know I'd love to meet up and do some wheeling. | |

| Do you know where about on I-40 it ends up. The reason I ask, is that I plan to go afterwards to Cataloochee Valley and let the kids see the elk. Its best to hit the valley around early evening/late afternoon to see the elk. Just want to time it right.
It will probably be July 24th when we go. Come join us for sure. |

| IIRC if you exit Hurricane Creek on the north side and head west you intersect a gravel road that takes you back to the last exit on 40 before TN which is Cold Springs Creek Road (I think). You can also continue north-ish and end up in Tennessee on FS roads.
If you head south you will likely hit Wesley Creek Rd which turns from gravel to pavement but is steep, windy, and a fun little run. | |

| Thanks Cataloochee Valley can be reached via Exit 20 from I-40 or a road right at the TN/NC border. I will probably take the southern route and hopefully it will put me out close to exit 20. |
