you can get a pair of radios gsmr radios for $40 or under. I don't mind being in the back, but I am too scared to be in the back. This group is good for leaving people!

I've got a CB. If I can find my charger, I'll bring 2 radios too

I certainly wouldn't leave anyone behind. I've spent many wee hours of the morning on work nights when guys broke at the track - and they've stayed when I broke. Never fun, but you always have to realize it will eventually be you on the other end of the bad luck :/ 7 trucks through Richland can get pretty separated, so I figure as long as 1 at the end and one up front have radio contact, we should be good. Heck - there's always Skype Mobile too that works just like a CB

I am not really that concerned about being left. We just left a few guys behind last fall when the jeep (of course) had mechanical trouble.

You can get the radios at Walmart, best buy, etc. I will try to post up a link of what I have.

So whats the plan, are we meeting at the Walmark in Lenoir?

Yeah, let's say Walmart on hwy 321 in Lenoir at 10.

Any of the gsmr should work. They all work with each other. I bought a pair to have one for someone else if needed.

Do they also pick up the standard CB channels?

I'll be there along with at least one jeep and possibly a couple tacos. Looking forward to this Richland run.

No, they operate at different frequencies. I will use whatever the group wants to use. I have just found the radios to be clearer and easier. The drawback is their range, but for what we are doing they should be fine.

Yea I do agree with you on that Brian, no tuning required. I will dig around and see how many I can find tonight

i have tow frs/gmrs radios...will bring both ..and i also have a CB...

I am going to order a rear diff skid from Budbuilt and pick it up sometime that day.

Everyone should also be all gassed up when they get to Walmart......

Would you guys be interested in just meeting at Budbuilt ? (assuming that he will be there Saturday morning) His place is located just a few minutes from the Walmart in Lenoir.

Good call. Looks like it will be a large crowd. It could take a while if everyone is not ready to go.

I don't recall there being much parking at the bud built shop. It also might be awkward to find for people who haven't been there.

Plus Bud is a talker! We would never be able to leave on time.
