Hold it! I didn't stay at the same hotel. I stayed at another hotel and any "group activities" were with myself.

At those rates, we should definately go for the month!

$922 per day for 7 days from 11/11 to 11/18. that is a little more than $100 a day for 9 people. We are going to have more than 9 people so something like this could easily work out. Maybe a little smaller and cheaper and we would need some people that could take a week, or people that could do different parts of a week.

The more I look the more I find that we could do. If we could get a OBX trip planned a little later in the year than the last one, we could get a nice house for a group or a couple groups and enjoy our stay quite a bit more that being at a hotel.

I was surprised when I saw the opportunity to spin the wheel of the ship how no one was there to steer it back... LOL

haha yes you are right Mike, I def wasnt bein serious about that last one and I am up for whatever!! We could get an awesome house for less then what was paid at the hotel last trip!!

I've never been to the OBX but would love to check it out with you guys. I'm assuming ya'll are looking at staying out there for a week?

ahhhh, its amazing one of my favorite places. Yeah we went for around 3 days last trip and I think before we left everyone was ready to do a week this years trip!!

This one I will definitely hopefully not have to miss. It all depends on my sons soccer season and the time we decide on.

I know I can't wait for our fall run this year!!!

This thread is to serve as a feeler to help us decide what dates we should consider for the annual trip to the OBX. There are some obvious dates/events to consider around this time. Labor day is September 3rd (rates for everything should be cheaper after this date) and Nick and Ashley's wedding is on Oct. XX (this will be updated when I get confirmation on what date it is... I think it's either the 6th or the 13th).

We're thinking of going for somewhere around 3-5 days. Maybe a Saturday - Thursday.


With all this being said none of it's in stone. Talk among yourselves and post all your thoughts here!
