So I got the Midland 75-822 with Bandi Mount and OME Rear springs for Christmas. Who wants to help me install...

hey scotty i got the same radio and bandi...the bandi is pretty easy to mount ..just have some patience and a 7/16" or 11mm wrench to put it on...do u have the coax and antenna too?? cant wait to get my antenna and coax so i can get it tuned and then using it too...

I got the same cb as well. Now I need to order the rest of the antenna/cable for the install.

Same here...just radio and mount. Need to get antenna and connectors. Can all this be purchased at Radio Shack or other local business? Wouls like to install before my son heads back to CO on the 2nd

David has one he needs to install also. Nick helped me with mine. I'd be more than happy to lend a helping hand sometime.

I think my biggest issue will be tuning, more so just finding a tuner.

I need to install a motor tranny tcase tcase driveline, build a propane conversion, mount seats, mount seatbelts, and torch out the bed of my 1st gen. When can we do the wrenching day.

I will need it at the wrenching day if I make it out there. Do we have a date yet?

is this thing gonna happen?? lol..jsut curious...as i would like to schedule the day for it..

After speaking with Andy, the date for our first Wrenching Day is going to be February 18th! Details to come!

As soon as the details are ironed out I can determine if I can make it back out to Raleigh to visit everyone

That is definitely the plan. We will see how the day conflicts with soccer

I am looking forward to this. I have a project I need done for sure. Want to pull my front Bilsteins off and move them up to the top notch.

Well, I'm another that would benefit from the wrenching day. I'm ordering some 5100's to level of the front of my new fj, I know im gonna need some help installing them!

What is the approximate location (city) for this? I don't really need to do anything, but I might come to hang out. I have missed every group event so far.

I might hold off and install my new skid plates then. I also have the bandi mount cb install to do. And the scuba mod as well. So I have no shortage of projects. Lol

Andy, should we make a list of tools folks can bring and others we may need to rent. I am happy to rent the coil compression tool for my shock job. I also have a set of jack stands, air compressor, impact wrench, torque wrenches and most sizes of wrenches, sockets, and allens. My floor jack just crapped out on me so don't have that.

I will also bring my 2 growlers for Lone Rider...

We have 2 floor jacks, about 6 floor stands, 1 welder, 3 grinders, electrical cords for power, torque wrench sockets, snap ring pliers and so on. I just scavenged 5 spools of tubing that might work to supply tube for the scuba mod for the entire club 5 times over. I am going to check the diameters tomorrow. I would say the best bet is to bring your own hand tools like sockets, wire cutters, screw drivers and such. It sounds like a good number of people are coming and I do not have enough tools for multiple things at once. You need to bring your expendable items as well. If you need wire, splices, tape, grinder wheels, fittings, metal for welding, etc.. Bring it please. If we pull out all the work vehicles and trailers I bet 5 or 6 fj's can fit inside the warehouse easily around all the materials with doors open. I am betting it might be cold being the middle of February. The warehouse is not heated. I do have a Kerosene heater and some old Kerosene that I need to use up but if anyone else has one that might not be a bad idea. It is a 3000 sq ft shop with 18' high ceilings. One will not do that much. If there are anymore questions please feel free to ask. The location is 8804 Gulf Ct Suite I (indigo), Raleigh. We are about 2 minutes away from the Wild Wing Cafe from Saturdays meet over on Westgate Road.
