2015 North Carolina FJ Cruisers Spring Charity Meet - Midstate Toyota - Asheboro

Ok all.......HERE WE GO!!!
 
(I AM INCLUDING AN INITIAL POLL IN THIS THREAD TO JUDGE INTEREST, PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO VOTE ON WHETHER YOU MIGHT ATTEND THIS EVENT OR NOT).
 
It is time that we start thinking and begin preliminary plans for the BIG NCFJ Spring Charity Meet that we had organized and held in 2011, 2012 and 2013! (2014 was a restructuring year for our group and the event could not be planned in time due to some unfortunate issues).
 
For the first 3 years, NCFJ Cruisers had paired with Leith Toyota in Raleigh to hold the event. Partnership for the event has changed and we will now be pairing with our good friends at Midstate Toyota in Asheboro, NC to hold the 2015 event!
 
Here are the minimum details for the event (more detailed information will come as the event evolves):
 
Where: Midstate Toyota.

 When: (Spring 2015, exact date TBD).

What: Meet and Greet, event T-shirt for paid participant (one t-shirt per truck entered, ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY), lunch, most likely a trail ride are URE after the event.

Charity: (TBD. Past charities were Wounded Warrior Project, Food Bank of Eastern and Central NC, and Victory Junction).

 Participation: NCFJ Cruisers and possibly Olde North State Cruisers (I cannot speak for them, no discussion has been had with them yet, but they participated in our last 2 events and have expressed interest in the recent past about participating again).

 Attendance: Since this is a charity event, it will be open to the public to attend. I would encourage those NCFJ Cruisers that would attend to get the word out to as many people as possible about the event, obviously our Greensboro/Asheboro members would be most likely to have non NCFJ people attend due to the location of the event).

 Raffle: Since this is a charity event, in the past we have had a raffle. Prizes were donated by various vendors that have had affiliation with our club. Again, ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY.

Voted...YESSS...Lets get this started...I cant wait for this..its been too long since we had a BIG meet..prizes, t shirts, give aways, and a whole bunch of bad a$$ rides!!....Vote now and get in on this fun!!

By the way ...this year im thinking of donating either a set of the new design sliders or a bumper......ya'll need to help me out with that decision...

I agree with Eric, 4 Wheel to heal would be a good charity to any offroad group.
Their website states that 100% of your donations go directly to covering the costs associated with the veteran’s and caregiver’s meals, transportation, camping/registration fees and any other costs associated with an event.

I like 4wheel to heal too...there are several groups and charities out there.

i just bought my FJ and would love to be able to get together with other owner and wheel this year.  This event sounds like a blast!

Well it was Spam....looks like it's gone now?  Can't remember, it's been a few weeks.  There was a link selling sunglasses or some such.
