| Well I reckon it's about time to put up a build thread for my new FJ... For those who don't know me, I sold my beloved silver FJ (First build here) about two months ago, in order to make room for my new obsession, BLACK BETTY! Since buying what I would consider to be "modded more than enough," I quickly found out that it's NEVER enough. I'm on the mod train again, and don't know where I'll stop! I bought her from a great guy in VA, and saw the FJ for the first time at this years meet n greet. Fell in love at first site and didn't even get a chance to meet most of you guys... | |

| K I'm back. Let's try this again...
I was blow away at how professionally/meticulously this beast was already modified! Here's an overall view of the major mods that Darren (previous owner) had already done in the first 35,000 miles of this young rig:
Performance: - TRD Supercharger - TRD cold air intake - TRD catback exhaust - Doug Thorley LT headers
Tires/Suspension: - Old Man Emu Heavy Duty lift - ToyTech .75" spacers up front (just enough to even out the height perfectly) - 16" TRD wheels with ~33" BFG All-Terrain's - Spidertrax 1.25” wheel spacers
Exterior: - ARB Front and Rear bumpers - ARB Roof Rack (half rack) - Warn M8000 Winch - Gobi Rear Ladder - Budbuilt Skids (5-piece) - All Pro Sliders - Bushwacker Fender Flares - Line-X coated the sliders, Fenders, and all plastic panels
Lighting: - IPF 900 XS Extreme driving lights – front bumper - IPF Fog lights – front bumper - IPF spots (2) and driving (2) – roof rack (front) - IPF spots (2) – roof rack (rear) - KC HiLites 26 series backup/floods (mounted to spare)
Electronics: - JL Audio “ZR Series” speakers/tweeters (additional pairs added in suicide doors) - Kenwood Excelon double-DIN head unit - JL Audio 12” W6 subwoofer - JL Audio 500w and 750w amps - Custom subwoofer/amp enclosure coated in Line-X - Dynamat on everything – floors, doors, ceiling, etc. - Viper 7701V alarm system/remote starter - Six (yes six) OEM FJ fog light switches for exterior lighting - Backup camera
Others: - Leather seats (heated) - Sunroof - Carbon Fiber hood decal - 35% window tints on front - Ventshades on front windows

| As much as I loved everything that had already been done to my new rig, I knew I had to make it my own by putting MY style into it! And so continued the mods......... - Cobra WXST CB radio with a Boztec antenna mount - TT black door handles, painted mirrors with Rustoleum satin black #7777 - Firestick AM/FM Antenna conversion - Replaced stock interior dome lights with Putco PURE LED kits - Billet aluminum Hi-Lift jack mounts for roof rack - Swapped out the TRD wheels with my previous set of MotoMetal 951 Black wheels, wrapped with 285/70/17 Federal Couragia tires: Then I swapped out the stock ARB markers with a Speedrye-custom set of PIAA fogs: (before) (after) In addition I also replaced the stock side mirror bulbs with some Putco 280003W Type T white LED stick bulbs: Then I threw in my MPAC barrier with gun and light mounts: Next step was the fill the void where the Jeep badge (long story... need a beer to explain) was previously mounted. I went with "FJ Beast" and then my redneck side had to put an "NRA" license tag on

| This past week I added a couple mods that I thought were really cool. As much as I love the leather seats, the summer sun bakes my truck all day in Charlotte to the point of burnt buns, and my dogs' claws are way too sketchy to be scratching on nice leather like that. I found a guy on the Blue Room selling these Precision Fit heavy duty seat covers for an awesome price. The digital camo pattern was so sexy, it inspired my next mod... (will update with clearer pic when I get a chance) To match the digital camo pattern/awesomeness, I decided to paint my grenade shifter OD green/black, and then modify an MPAC center console straddle for some more weaponry. Had to drill out holes for the seat warmers, then i painted black, then coated with plasti dip. This currently holds a custom Kydex holster I had made for my Springfield XDS .45, as well as a molle bag that holds two mags. I plan on adding a nice fixed blade and a flashlight:

| My next mods should be completed within the next four or five days: - Lifetime CREE LED Bar - 22.5" - welding tabs to top crossbar of ARB bumper, wired to hi-beams and switch - FourTreks dual tool mount for roof rack - Axe and Shovel (just waiting for mounting rings to come in) My future mods include, but are not limited to, the following: - BLACK rooftop painted by Toyota (can't decide if I want OEM black or a flatter/grittier shade) - Diehard Platinum 31M Marine Battery upgrade - Mean Green high-output alternator - Rear cargo storage that also houses the subwoofer and amps - HID headlight conversion - Replace all 35% window tint (front) with 20% or less all around - Replace roof lights with LED's - Replace ARB half rack with full rack - Upgrade to 35" Muds - Build a matching trailer for camping/offroading/tailgates | |

| I didn't realize that beast was modified as much as it was when you bought it. Good deal! It looks like I'm going to have to add more lights to keep up. | |

| Looks mounted very nicely, but man that has got to block some vision of the trail ahead...... I have trouble seeing stuff with my head nearly touching the roof and a stock front end! | |
