| Thinking about plasti-dipping my TRD rims....should I leave the center cap silver and red or dip it also? Any suggestions on application? | |

| I say dip it all....
For application, I like to stick the can of Plasti-dip in a bucket of hot water for 10 minutes or so prior to using. This makes it spray much finer, and eliminates clumping.

| I say dont waist your time pasti-dipping them. Just go ahead and paint them rustoleum satin black. You are never going to take of the plastidip, so just paint them. |

| So the dealership screwed up my locking lugs and key....so I'm on the way there to blow it up because I can't get my wheels off | |

| I plasti-dipped mine just because I wasn't sure if I was going to leave them black or not. I like them black so I will eventually go back and paint them. Every time I wash I am worried that it will start peeling off. | |

Couldn't agree more! The black wheels look AWESOME, but you gotta black out the other parts to match!

| But don't get me wrong... your rig looks great like this! Good work on those wheels! You should take a red paint pen to the "TRD" in the center caps! | |

| I thought of doing that....or white to offset the color of the FJ and the white letters...do they make paint pens? | |

| They do make paint pens. Just not sure which would be good for plastidip. Some have fat felt tips that would be messy while other have the large ball-point tip that may rip the plastidip...
Could even use silver if you cannot find white as silver is a popular paint pen color and tends to cover really well.
I wouldnt worry much about it though, they look really nice all black.

| Yeah paint pens might screw up a little bit on the plastidip... but you know what would work? Nail polish. Sounds girly, but that stuff has a ton of uses! Check out gun forums if you don't believe me! | |

| Worth a shot! If it wears off, just repaint! Orrrrrr you could paint with the polish, then put a clear coat of plastidip over that! | |
