Im knocking 3 birds out with one stone.... Kind of my first post, first trail ride with the group and first time to uwharrie.
It looks like your meeting up at the outpost on Sunday at 9:30... Where is the outpost and is this where I can get my permit?
Second... Although I have installed a lift, I have not yet bought a good set of offroad tires. Will this cause problems? | |

I'm currently running those exact tires and love them. I've only played in the dirt with them a little, but they serve perfectly well for road driving, and have fantastic offroad reviews as well. Welcome aboard! To answer your questions a little better....
It looks like your meeting up at the outpost on Sunday at 9:30...
the goal is to roll out of the Outpost at 09:30, so best to show up a little early, gotta get a pass, air down if you are going to, so I shoot for 9 and usually top off the tank as well.
Where is the outpost Hwy 109, west of Troy...and is this where I can get my permit? Yes sir.

They will hinder you some, but there are ways around just about everything, so if you give it the old college try and just cant hook up, you can scoot around and try the next thing. | I'll still use Darrel as the 'stock' example. He climbed Daniel with relative ease with no lift and street tires. Granted, he shredded one once he got up the second ledge - and Daniel is a bit tougher this year, but still.... | |
