| No... the frame is too far in. Even the stock sliders are like 8" deep I think.
You need an 8" pipe! | |

By the time you spent the money to make something work, you'd be better off in both time and $$ to just pick up some used OEM sliders. I found mine for $100 and they've worked very well. The OEM ones don't protect the body panels as much but they also don't get hung up on rocks like sliders that stick farther out. They're not as fancy as some aftermarket ones, but I've never heard of an OEM slider failing either. | |

| Yeah there is no way itll work well. Would probably hit the floor of the truck and thus transfer damage. Let alone would need some crazy gusseted system to even mount. | |

| I can't even believe you guys are discussing this....anything even remotely looking like sliders are going on a 2wheeldrive FJ. What are the chances of getting into a situation where the sliders would be useful?? | |

| A 2wd FJ with a rear locker could do a lot. |

| Except anything with grassy, muddy, or hills with leafs on them. So it rules out a lot. Ask Casey. | |

| If you go in the fall when the leaves on are ground. Creates plenty of obstacles for a 2 wheel drive that you would normally just drive by. Both of the times I went with Casey when he had his old 4runner we ran into little problems on some of the hills where you just can't get up them, even with lots of speed, without 4wd. Not to mention he has stock tires. | |

Geeze man. He just wants to have a little fun and dress his rig up with 8" pipes. |
