ok guys, so i am in the market for a rifle and i know the cal. i want and i know i want it to be an american made gun.. i'm just wondering what everyone has, and what there expierence with it is?

use: some hunting, but mostly a just in case shiz hits the fan, so i can reach out and touch someone....

i know its a topic that is debated on regular basis and everyone has thier own preferences, so i fully expect some debates.

have you done anything to it? trigger pull, bull barrel, stock, sights.. ect?

do you know what the M.O.A. is?

my personal choice would be any of the Model 10's from Savage...love the way it shoots and very accurate...i like the prices too...

I just bought a Sig 716 which is pretty accurate for a 16" barrel and an Armalite AR10A4 which claims to have right around 2 MOA out of the box, both .308's. I haven't shot the Armalite yet however.

I want to buy a bolt action gun as well and am leaning heavily towards the Remington 700 or a Kimber just because I love my Kimber 1911 so much and I would hope the Kimber rifles would be of the same excellent quality.

Remington 700......DPMS LR308 if your wanting mag fed. Both can't be hurt and are have good prices on them as well. Also M77 Ruger has done me well during hunting season.rendeer Just my .02
