| Love my Ricochet skids! They look great, are light weight, and offer great protection while on the trail. When I decided to look for some armor Ricochet was already at the top of my list. | |

| My buddy Doug just installed a 4 piece set on his FJ. I was excited when he said he was looking into armor and Ricochet was at the top of his list. | |

| No Ricochet but just got an OEM skid from a local guy. I need hardware...did any of you guys keep your harware? (assuming you did not need to use it) I know that will leave you with a skid without hardware...unless you want to throw that in for free since I already have one. LOL | |

| can someone explain the purpose of the a-arm skid? Thats a hunk of metal bolted to a hunk of metal to protect the second hunk of metal. Maybe Im missing something. Dies it protect the tie rod cause it cant possibly protect the CV boots | |

| If you ask Brad most likely he will tell you the lower A arm skid is made specifically to protect the CV boot. It will help to keep any objects such as a piece of wood from before maneuvered up through the open spaces and puncturing the boot. | |

| next question why are your skids so imaculate.
My crawers got 3/16th steel skids with gouges halfway through them and bends in them. You gotta put those things to use.

The LCA skid is designed to protect the LCA itself, but also the inner cv boot. The inner boot is extremely vulnerable from under neath. I tore one going over a downed tree. A stray branch caught the boot. Also if you are dragging your LCA skids across rocks fairly often you are going to be leaving bits of metal behind. I would rather the skids take the abuse over the LCA. The LCA is a big chunk of metal. It's also an expensive chunk of metal.

| Got my first "battle scars" on my Ricochets from Engineer Pass at the Summit..... Finally broke them in properly! I am SOOO glad I have them....they did the job superbly!!! in fact, if they weren't anodized, I would have not noticed....but I love the "Ricochet Orange" as i call them They only way you can see the scars are from underneath, so it is all good..... Thanks to Brad for a superb product! And it was really cool meeting you! Glad to know you and glad to have you here on in our little group! | |

| In case you didn't know, Brad has developed a new heavy duty version of is very popular skid plate design. I saw it at the Summit and WOW, it looks great! It is basically a BEEFY version of the front bash and engine plates formed into one very protective plate. A 2010+ version is on the way..... Per Brad in the Blue Room.... Heavy Duty skid pricing Pricing is finalized, and the new plate will be on our website tomorrow. The HD skid will retail for $375.00 The full set with the HD skid will retail for $995.00 http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/ricochet-offroad/133501-hd-skid-pricing.html Looks like he is going to kick this off with a 15% off sale. Check the Blue Room link for details and followup! I can't wait for the 2010 version..... | |
