THE FJ is IN the SHOP will be for a few weeks!

WELL, i get home,   and low and behold it decides to ICE/Snow,   well my buddy owns a few acres so we decided to play.....   had a blast,  wel the next day my transmission started to slip.  So only having 45,000 miles i took it to the dealership and gues what....    they said because of my skidplates... so after alot of talking and using my interpersonal skills i convinced the dealer to cover so..... im getting a new tranmission..... and i found a reverse camera on the blue room for $50.00

How would the skids be the issue?

NO idea,  i am sure it was just an excuse for toyota to try and get out replacing the trany

the said it was over heating that caused the tranny to fail,   and some how the lack of airflow due to the skid plates, caused that, even though it is not an air cooled transmission.

Score on the camera!  BS on the skid plates....there are literally thousands of FJ's rolling with complete skidz having no problems for it to be the case with yours...good on ya for hanging in there and convincing them to own it.  

oh but the guy recanted on the camera so im going to have to find another one
