| so for all the guys camping where are you planning on staying... I will stay anywhere I can pop a tent up but would prefer to stay in close proximity to the rest of the campers.
ALSO would anyone be interested in a bonfire on the beach? If so I could bring some fire woods on a small trailer but we would have to get out of the kitty hawk area to be able to build a fire on the beach

I have a crap ton of fire wood also. I could just strap it to the ARB rack. Just let me know!!

| When you come into the OBX Nags head is what we will pass through first then Kill Devil Hills then Kitty Hawk. They are all relatively close in distance. I would guess they cover a stretch of no more than 5-10 miles. This is a guess of course. You could technically walk the beach from one to the other in no time. Correct me if I am wrong, anyone. | |

| someone from oregon inlet campgrounds finally called me back today, but they called from a blocked number so i didnt answer. i called right back but no answer. in the voicemail they left, they said they dont have the group campsite available that weekend. so i called back and left another message to have them call me back again just to confirm that information. if we cant get the group site, the individual sites are $20/night. i'll update with more info as i get it. | |

| I'm thinking I will camp with my dog. He is a puppy so I gave it a trial run last night locally. He was awesome, but I on the other hand was not very comfortable. Had a couple blankets for custion. Tent was perfect, breathed well, no bugs.
For those of you who camp regularly, what do you use for bedding/padding?

| Air mattress, cant beat it in my tent. The wife and I are always refreshed in the morning. I use the air mattress, sleeping bag from Bass pro shops and 2 wobbies. If your ex military you know what these are. If it is really hot and nasty out I have a small fan that works wonders. | |

| Frisco Campground is just south of Hatteras Light House and were I camp out when I head to OBX. Its on the water... bay side! Last year I stayed there in Nov so Im sure they are open! Also I come in from Manteo on 64, its shorter and lands you on 12 below Nags head and all the tourist crap.
Also dont forget to make sure the new guys air down!!!! I would hate to see ANOTHER FJ on oregoninletidiots.com

I havent had my FJ long and havent made it to the beach yet, so this will be her maiden voyage. I know nothing about beach driving so hopefully someone can help me along!! I have one of those cheapo Kobalt air inflators I got from Lowe's.... will that suffice you think for airing up/down???
