| SOLD OUTWe have 3/8 inch soft shackles on sale right now! A great way to attach to tube or other smooth surface (bumper, sliders, cage, ground anchor, etc) where a traditional hard shackle or choking a strap will not work. Regular price is $25.00 + $4 shipping each These are on sale for $23 shipped, sold on first come first serve basis. The quantity will be updated as they sell. | Not totally sure what you are saying, but we have had these load tested (broken by a big machine). The harder you pull on the rope, the tighter the rope becomes. Before these went into production, we tested multiple knot sizes and settled on a larger knot to ensure there was no slip for safety reasons. The large knot gives us smoother bends in the lines that make the shackle stronger. Splicing a second loop would require a 180 degree bend or a cut in the line, which would actually make it weaker.
