| So I bought my Fj back in June with some mods already done. It's an 08 trail team that had a 6" rcx lift, demello bumper, 9500 lb rc winch, black rock rims, bmc, 35" mud grapplers. I've done a lot of stereo/electrical/lighting work and some minor exterior stuff. So here's the day I got it... First thing I did was stereo. I'm just going to show where it's at now, not all the stages it's been through, which is a lot. I'm still working on finishing the amp racks and sound deadening Pioneer avh-p3200bt head unit Alpine mrv-f401 4 ch amp JL Audio e4300 4 ch amp MTX RT2100X mono amp JL TR-350cxi 3.5" speakers in dash MTX RTX88 8" door speakers in wickedcas adapters JL TR-650cxi 6.5" components in wickedcas C pillar pods MTX TDX40 4" speakers in rear D pillars (2) JL 12w3v2 in atrend ported box(temporarily ratcheted down) Dynamat in front doors and dash | |

| And now for all the misc electrical stuff... I put in a uniden cb radio with a 3' firestik antenna on a bandi mount I hard wired in a cobra radar detector I put a viar medium duty compressor system above the rear skid plate and a horn blasters s2 horn I put in a second exile deep cycle battery. I used 2ga cable and a marine battery box with a ratchet system securing it. I put hooks on each side of the box. I also put in a aux fuse box using a 12voltguy 10 way fused distribution block and a ground post inside a sealed box painted black I also have a pa tied into the cb on a 50w alpine amp mounted under the center console. You can see the pa horn in the pic above. I got it from radioshack | |

| And finally the exterior. I blacked out the tail light surround with plastidip that you can see in the pic above I painted my rcx skid plate white I tinted my front windows 35% and windshield 50% I got black D rings and painted the tow hook black. Also painted the white corners of the body that could be seen with the demello bumper black. Also put a hi-lift on the roof with black mounts and realigned the hi-lift base. And I got some new Toyo Open Country's. I'm waiting on some 1.25" rear wheel spacers(already have some on front) and I will be getting the front bilstein 5100s raised to get rid of the rake. I also removed the rear mud flaps and out some yakima ski racks on | |

| And that is pretty much how my FJ sits right now. I have 50 sq ft of fat mat on the way for some more sound deadening. Also have a solenoid to isolate the second battery coming. Hopefully have a 40" lightbar for the roof coming soon also. Here's a pic of me getting it a little muddy a few weekends ago... | |

| VERY nice setup man! That's an impressive stereo, do you have future plans on a custom box?
Also, where in Charlotte are you? I'm up in the north end and work uptown but haven't seen your rig yet.
What'd you do with the 35" Mud Grapplers?

| Thanks I'm pretty happy with it. Yeah I'm planning on a custom box eventually.
I'm on the south side of town on lake Wylie.
I sold the mud graps on Craigslist

| Ahhh cool. Well if you're ever interested in meeting up and helping a local out, I could use some wiring expertise to rewire my lights to my 6 OEM switches (roof, fogs, LED bar). They're all wired up now, but I need to move them around and combine the roof lights into one switch. Not my forte lol.
As far as the box goes, I've been wanting to make a new custom box for my JL 12w6 and amps, so we could always brainstorm!

| Yeah I got rid of all my stock light wiring. I just put in new relays and daystar switches in the stock locations. I'm not sure if you're familiar with them but I think I'm going to have Freeman's audio and video on south boulevard build me a box. I want a fiberglass box that's painted white | |

| None of my wiring is stock, I just have everything wired up to OEM switches to keep it all clean (two more of these up to the left of the steering wheel): | |

| Ok I see what you mean now. All you should have to do is splice the signal wires for the things you want combined into one wire and go to the switch you want | |

| Yea that's kinda what I was thinking too, which I think I could do (gotta figure out which wires are the signal wires). But I was mostly wanting some help with properly hooking up my fogs and LED bar to my low/high beams while using a couple switches and relays. That's where I really feel like a D.A. because even after a few college courses in electrical wiring, I still can't grasp the concept of it all. But anywho, not tryin to jack your thread! | |

| No problem I love to help out with stuff like this. I'll try to draw up a diagram when I get home for you. Do you want to fogs with low beams and led bar with high beams while still having a switch for the LED bar? | |

| Hey man, sorry I just saw this response! If you could help me with a diagram or even take some cash to help wire correctly that'd be great!
Basically, I paid a guy last year to wire my LED bar to my hi-beams, and the fogs to my low-beams, but he had to use one switch and one relay because the others were taken. Everything works, except it's all mixed up with what triggers the relay (it's never a uniform "on for this to turn on, off for that to turn off" if that makes any sense. I wanna do it all over again the right way, which would be as follows:
Wire all four roof lights to switch #1 LED bar wired to hi-beams, activated by switch #2 Fog lights wired to low-beams, activated by switch #3 I'd also like to add rock lights with a new aftermarket switch (something smaller that can be mounted in obscure area) *One option would be to wire the fogs directly to the low-beams, then use that vacant switch for the rock lights*

| So it sounds like the switches currently work, just not when you want them to. So that means you only have to change the power in and power out wires, which are 3 and 4 on the diagram. I hunk the switches you have are in the diagram below. So for the roof lights, you want a constant power wire from the battery or fuse box coming into 3. Find the 2 switches that currently control the roof lights and splice the wires coming into 4 together and connect them to the one switch you just ran constant power to. You now have roof lights on one switch that you can use any time. For the fogs, all you have to do is find the headlight wire in the fuse box that is live with the low beams and tap into it and run it to position 3 of that switch. Everything else stays the same For the LED bar, all you have to do is find the wire in the fuse box that is live with the high beams and tap into it and run it to position 3 on the LED bar switch. Everything else stays the same The hardest part about rock light installs is running all the wires and bringing them together. I've done a few installs. Other than that, just use and aftermarket lit rocker switch and relay. Connect the relay to ground and the battery and the power wire going to the rock lights. Put in a switch and ground it and run constant power to it. Then just run the signal wire to the relay and your set. If this is all still a little confusing I'll draw something up | |

| Glad I could help!
My Fat Mat showed up today. I added a little to my dynamat already in the front doors. I'll do a full install this weekend. I got 50 sq ft so that should be enough to cover most of everything I want
