Concealed Carry

Heck, you SC guys can buy handguns with only your driver's license can't you? Buy them while they're easy to get before you move to another state that makes things more difficult. Get your CC in SC or wherever you move.

I originally got mine in NC, moved to Florida with the military so it was good, moved to Washington (state) where they turned my NC one into a WA one for the cost of a fingerprint card, then moved back to NC...where they recognized the WA one, but still required I re-do the entire process to get a new NC one...its ultimately all about revenue!

I'd still get one now, use it to exercise your right to bear arms and protect yourself, your family and your property, then deal with whatever the requirement(s) is(are) wherever you wind up....heck it'll probably take you until you move to figure out which is the most comfortable holster for you, if you actually carry for a while!

i like the way you think Paul...get it while you can...where you can...then deal with the move or where you will be permenant....

Yep! I bought my first couple of pistols with only a drivers license. It usually takes a little while for the FBI to clear it but people do it all the time.

while i was in Texas it was almost like stealing it was so easy to buy...drivers license and thats it..pick out your gun show your DL...wait a few minutes to have the FBI do their thing then out the door...oh yeah and pay for it...lol

yeah i love it too...price is a little more than i want to pay though...and its the full size...i want the compact...and i have yet to see the two tone in a compact...but i do like it alot...

Yeah, I haven't see it in the compact size either. You could always Duracoat it for $20. I'm thinking about trying it out on my XD

Of course I'm guessin' you all know that in NC you can walk in and walk out with a new pistol if you have a Concealed Carry Permit...just show, pay and go! ...another bennie to getting it now!

Well Angie and I had a class all set up and paid for for this coming weekend (saturday), however i had to cancel and reschedule...i have to work this weekend so no class...the soonest class we could get into is now the middle of January...kinda teed off now....lol

I think i will be looking around to see if other classes are available before then ...

Striechers(previously Arrington Police Supply) in Greensboro usually know of classes going on. If you want I can get you there number and you can give them a call.

The guy that did our CCW class is James Norris 336-674-5347. Not sure how soon he could get you in but he's a very laid back instructor.

where is he located?? what did he charge?

I think he's in pleasant garden. $80 for the class? Not sure it's been about 4 years

Ok.so today I took the concealed carry class. I'm finally done with that..now all I have to.do is go to the shire Reeves office and do their part of the process...than wait ...and wait...and wait...good class nothing remarkable...85% is common sense...I took my class at The Gun Vault on north main street in High Point...the good.thing was the instructor stopped me shooting after 10 rounds...said.itwas pointless to waste.my rounds...lol
