| I just made this prop for my rear window. Took about 1 hour from design to paint to install. Not sure where I seen one last week that someone had posted. Either here/FB/Blue Room/ or COFJ Forum. But they had bought thiers. The intended use is to allow some air to circulate in your vehicle for any animals that are left in the vehicle when you are not driving. It opens the window about 6" and with the front side windows open a small amount air should circulate and the widows and doors are all locked so the dog can't get out and no one else can get in. However if you have the rear door window mod switch and it is visible that no longer applies for security. The one word of caution here is, be aware of possible exhaust fumes with the rear window open and the engine running. My intended purpose for this is to open the rear window and stop the wind buffetting when the windows are open going down the highway. I went out for a 5 mile trip with some stop & go traffic. I did not notice any fumes inside the vehicle. I tried with the front windows full open and partial open. Time will tell. [ /color] | |

Maybe but I only have 4 of the chrome cylinders. They were foot pegs for a scooter my kids had when they were younger. I was looking for something on a shelf in my garage & one fell on the floor. When I picked it up it hit me this would make a good start to a window prop. So the rear window prop was born. Thanks for the positive comments. I've been pretty productive on FJ mods the past month. I made this, a laptop holder for the passenger seat, a cb mount for the console, a rear psd from OBDF, and Ricochets skid plates. Whats next????? | |
