| Also keep in mind that with ifs the higher the truck the less down travel you have and that means a harsher ride. | |

| So what time will folks be there on the 18th. My son is in town from Colorada and wants to do some FJ off roading. He is use to MAJOR trails in CO with his jeep, but maybe can impress him a little. We have a wedding on the 19th so that won't work...the 20th is also an option. | |

| So it looks like I have a survey job to take care of this week in Albemarle. SO...I can do that Friday morning, then hit URE by lunch time. This way my mileage to and from Albemarle will be paid...It's like a free trip to URE... Will anyone be there around lunch time? I could just take my chances and hook up with some stranger at the outpost...or hit the trails alone. Don't like the latter in case something breaks, plus I don't know my way around the trails.

| Long to-do list there...no problem. I will catch up with someone at the outpost or just head on into the woods "CAREFULLY".
I will have CB on channel 7 in case anyone is listening or looking for me. So let the PD and FD know...

| Will there be someone else with you in the car at least? I wouldn't recommend running Daniel without a spotter on your first go at it. | |

| My son Chris is here from Colorado. He and I use to go there quite often with his Jeep XJ. Tomorrow is the only day available for us to go while he is home.
I was going to ask you today about Daniel...so you think no problem for me? We will certainly take somewhat safer lines since we are alone (but hopefully with someone else even if it is jeeps).

| Yea you will be just fine with an expirienced spotter. After the ledges and switchback you will come to a hill, jus stay on he left side for the easiest lines. Also be careful on the switchback because you will get really close to the tree.
You will know what I mean when you see it

| My plan is to start on Daniel, then hang a left and head down to the bottom of Dickey Bell...come up Dickey Bell then over to Kodak and then out...Will that take me in the right direction so I am headed UP DB and UP Kodak? Correct me if I am wrong, but Dickey Bell is the long steep hill that you can go either left or right. Left is more difficult...lot of loose rocks on right. Here is a map of my route...the dotted line is what I am thinking. Start by Hunt Camp then hang that first left...Where did Mike break his axle? | |
