| I have the Midland 75-822 like so many others. Firestik antenna...I have yet to use it since I got it for Christmas. Have not even heard other voices on it...to be honest, I can't say for sure that it works...I can only assume.
Anyway...what channel do folks use/listen to? Do I need to be out on the highway to hear anything.

| Channel 19 is the most used channel with truckers. Channel 19 and 9 are the two default channels on mine. | |

| I always heard stuff on 19. I need to get my re-install done so I can start listening/chatting again. | |

| you can also pick the bandi mount up from walcottcb.com, thats where I got mine.
Sometimes when I leave work or I am out and about I will turn my CB on and let it scan the channels. I usually pick up some traffic and alot of times the people on are spanish speaking. I have yet to actually have a conversation with anyone. I have used the weatherband channels and it picks up pretty well.

| I usually leave mine on 19 so I can hear traffic updates from the truckers.
I'll have my SWR meter at the Raleigh show, so we can do some more tuning for those of you that need it.

That will be great, you can help me with mine. I didn't have my CB installed when we had the Charlotte meet so I missed that opportunity.

| The group of us coming to the show from west/south were looking to use channel 12. Maybe we should consider all running on 7 for the trip in, the caravan and in general... | |

| No problem, I can tune it while we're waiting on the escort at Saks. I'm gonna come right down 68 and head east on I-40. I'd like to make the rest area stop by 7:15, but it all depends on my wife. If we're running late for that, I'll just go straight through to make sure I make the 8:30 mall time. I'm also planning on leaving at 6:30 which will put me at I-40/68 around 6:45 and the rest area just before 7:15. Of course all of this will be done on channel 7 now. | |
