Forum Logo contest

Sounds like a great starting point. Ive got my plate full with organizing Wild Wings this Sat and the show in April... would you mind taking charge of this one? Ill be willing to help where I can but right now all my time has to go to those two events and theres still a lot of work to get done by April.

Hey Mike! I love the idea of a badge! I have always wanted to see us have a badge made for the club. Here is my .02 on the idea:

As it has been said, badges are usually pretty costly for any amount of quality. Now, as you stated, I agree that we need to start a thread to gather interest. After a fair amount of interest has been generated, it would be nice to maybe see at least 2 design ideas, seeing as how I am sure no matter how many we order, it will cost more than anything we have done at this point.

Secondly. we would need a very dedicated person manage this project. They would need to organize, price shop, money collect, etc and be willing to devote a fair amount of their time to this endeavor.

As far as members go, here is where we are at on the "project" front:

David B - Site management, administration, January Raleigh Wild Wing NCFJ merchandise (glasses, koozies), Spring Truck Show Project Manager, Wounded Warrior Comittee lead

Rolando (CarolinaCruiser15) - January Raleigh Wild Wing meet planner, Spring Truck show comittee member, WWP comittee member

Jami Stanley (Sun Cruiser 6) - February NCFJ Charlotte event planner and merchandise planner.

Paul Ward (paulwardnc) - January Raleigh Wild Wing NCFJ merchandise planner (club decals)

Scott Haynes (scottydog) - Spring Truck show comittee member, WWP comittee member

Casey McGuon (4running) - Spring Truck show comittee member, WWP comittee member

Tyler Knaup (85runner) - Spring Truck show comittee member, WWP comittee member

As you can see, we have plenty going on and alot of great people halping, so, if anyone wants to step up and take on the badge project, please email me at dbronson@ncfjcruisers.com and we can discuss the plans further.

But over all, like I said, I LOVE the idea!!! And this was a good opportuniy to catch everyone up on the members of the group who are currently involved in planning and orchestrating our upcoming events!

David, let me look into the idea a little deeper...im not quite ready to commit myself to the project just yet. I am however extremely interested in the idea and would love to have one for myself....im gonna look into it and get back to you...maybe there may be a few more people interested in taking this on and i am willing to bet that it will take more than one person to take care of this...

Here is the tweaked tire logo. We made the rays shine through the wheels; i also replaced my older logo with the updated version so ther is no confusion. I like the idea of this being used as a sticker, shirt or badge

looked at that site..and they have done a few FJ badges...looks like good work...

I would be down for a badge. I still like the state logo for t-shirts. Maybe we'll get a run of those as well?

I want a badge and a shirt. I could tackle the state logo t shirts if I got a big enough order. There are a bunch of screen printers in Asheville

I would love a state NCFJ Cruisers logo shirt! Actually I would order 3!

I would order 2 or 3 as well. We have one screen printing shop close to me but they didn't like my order for some reason.

Id be down for about 2 or 3 also.... is this the black shirt with the red state outline we were all drooling over earlier?? The one Nick designed?

I'll take the reigns and shop around asheville locally if I can get an order number together with sizes first so I can get an accurate # for a estimate in sizes and colrs, and then I'd need to get a more official vote on design location on the shirt, and if we do it with no date then they could be sold whenever. I may have to get deposits or something depending on the total cost of the order. As I'm continually close to broke.

I was thinking maybe just ncfj esr.2010 on front and the sweet rising sun on the back larger.

Thats sounds like it would look good. What about a smaller version of the logo on the front left breast and the larger version on the back? That way the NC state logo AND the NCFJ are both front and back.

I like the idea of a large red and black and white logo on the back. As far as what goes on the front, I like either idea. I also am a fan of having something printed on a sleeve as well, like we had on the spring meet shirts. And I assume the shirts will be black? I would take 3. One in XL size, one in a 2XL size, and one in a small.

Sounds good! I was also thinking it might be cool to have something on the sleeve like we did on the truck show shirts.

I like that idea too. Not sure how it would effect the total price but definitely worth looking into.
