| Well the time is coming to order new shoes for the basher. And I am really thinking about going with this size. I have 305/70/17's right now so this would be a one up from that. I am looking at the Falkin Wild Peak AT. Ive read some great reviews on them and well think since we are not out playing like we used to why not get a at that has decent qualities. I am also thinking of going up on the body lift to 1.5" from 1". Any thoughts? Also due to the economy and responsible fiscal spending I am ordering 1 every payday. So I am going to have to suffer with them pilling up in my garage lol!!! And the shipped price from www.discounttiredirect.com isn't bad either $267 and some change shipped with a replacement certificate.
Also looking at the 325/70r17, looks promising for a true 34 when mounted!

| I have been eyeballing the Falken as well. I put a lot of highway miles on mine and can't afford to replace MTs every couple years. Not going with anything nearly as big though... | |

| Well I havent read one derogatory thing yet. I've gotten great mileage out of my mt's . But time to be honest with my self mt's are not in my future. I think I'm settling on the 315's. And go from there! | |

| CLiff, do you have anything against the BFgoodrich ATs? i know that bf goodrich does make the 315/70 17 in that size. You may not find it on any TIRE websites...but i KNOW for a fact that they are made. I ended up ordering my BFG MTKM2 from summitracing and got a better deal than discounttires.com including shipping. i was extremely happy with how it was all handled from the time i ordered to the date and time of delivery. Just a thought ...and the BFGs measure out to either 34.4 or 34.5 depending on the speed rating...R or S....
Like you i have heard NOTHING bad about the FALKENs at all...seen alot on the BLUE room about them as far as positive feedback. i just thought i might give you some infoo that you MAY not have..just trying to help...lol

| I really do not like BFG tires in general. There at's have never really impressed me. But they might be great. I will never know lol. I kinda like off the wall stuff I guess. My big horns have treated me very very well in the aspect that I paid 220ish a piece and got close to 40000 miles on them and never ever had a failure! Even with a pair of pliers being shoved between the belts and tread.
The Falkins are at a price point I am willing to pay, 238. each with free shipping. Have a 50000 mile warranty and great reviews. I am just not willing to spend over 300.00 per tire any more. I learned that lesson with my Dodge and the 37" Toyo's. Even if Discount might be a little more at times (which I have never been in a situation when they weren't the cheapest) The costumer service won me over long ago. It justr sucks for me that the closest one is in Raleigh. But we are up there at least once a month.
Just a quick search showed that the BFG AT's are almost 100.00 more per tire, and no tread wear warranty.
Also I like being somewhat different when it comes to things. Be the oddball so to speak.
I been through many Heep (jeep) sites looking at the Falkins and well I think they will be great. If not they have a 30 day money back guarantee.
As always thank you for your input!

| My dad has the falken wild peaks. They're nice but his are load range e, which means they're stiff as crap. But overall they seem like they don't wear at all and he's had them for about 6 months now. I used to have a set of bfg's on my old truck and I didnt like them at all. They were super expensive compared to the falken's and they cut really easily on rocks. Just my .02. | |

| I am actually looking at these tires for my Dodge Ram. The price is right and like you mentioned, I have read no negative reviews. I say go for it. | |

| For what it's worth BFG A/Ts have been the number one rated A/T tire for many years. I am by no means saying they are the best, but many other people do. My stock A/Ts are still on with descent tread left and I have 53k on them. BFG offers a 50k warranty with them. IMO you are getting a lot for the money. | |

I know the manager at the Discount Tire by me. Its just down the road, close to where David lives. Let me know if you need anything.
