| Well I got my new Duratracs and Black Rock wheels yesterday and they look AWESOME!! I had to make time tonight to go install them. No pictures yet.
On a side note, my old BFG's and TRD 6 spoke wheels weighed in at 83lbs each. I weighed the spare since it had never touched the road. They are 265/75/16
The new Duratracs and Black Rock wheels weighed in at 80.5lbs, amazing!! They are 285/70/17.
There is a slight rub going on up front when I turn the wheels and I contribute this to the offset being 0 which is bring the tire just slightly past the fender flare. I see some bushwackers in my future.
I will get some pictures up soon.

| Congrats Jami!!!!!!! Can't wait to see pics. That's crazy they actually weigh less than the stocks. Are they rubbing on the mudflaps or on the body mount? If its the flaps, you can take those off in minutes.... also wouldn't have to worry about people tailgating in rainy weather. Haha | |

| From what I can hear it is on the mud flaps. The tires actually stick out past the flaps by 3/4" or so. I took it for a drive after getting it together and it rides nice. I am pretty pleased with my choice in the wheels and the tires. | |

| Glad to hear you like the tires and wheels... now just ditch those pesky mudflaps. | |

| I got a little birthday money left and thinking about the lift/level next. I can't justify tires with tires with less than 3000 miles on them. |

Sell your stock tires on Craigslist. And list them here as well....

| Yeah Paul, like David said my 285s BARELY rubbed when I was at stock height. With the lift they don't rub anymore. Its pretty hit or miss though because some people say that they get the rub and others dont.
I absolutely love my lift so far. I got the 3" I wanted and the drive hasn't changed at all IMO. There are a ton of options out therebut spacers are the most affordable and I've heard of people running them for a few years easily.
If you have the money set aside, I'd get the 3" lift and 295 tires actually at the same time. After the lift my 285s look kinda puny whereas they looked badass when the truck was 3" lower. Lol. I've seen some lifts with the stock tires still on and I would implore you to not go that route. They look all kinds of silly.
Let me know if you have any questions!

| Yeah good point... which is why I had originally planned to get the lift and tires at the same time. The stock tires would definitely look silly!
My neighbor got tires yesterday and it got me thinking about the lift and tires again... damn peer pressure! |

| I happen to be one of the guys with a lift and 285/70/17 duratracs and getting tire rub on the body mount. Removed the mudflap and it still rubs. It is ever so subtle with the wheels turned either direction and I notice it more when in reverse. It is even more noticeable when I have the wife and a couple kids riding. Not a concern for me though. | |

| Wow Jami that's crazy. We have the EXACT same tires and sit about 3" higher. Weird. | |

So, you are getting the rub? I am looking at the ICON stage 2 lift for next year's "mod schedule" and they recommend 285's post lift (at least for their lift).....interesting.... "ICON recommends a tire size of 285/75R16 on a 16X8 wheel with 5" back spacing for the 2010 + FJ Cruiser Suspension System - Stage 2 System - 53062" (good for me as I have the TRD TT 16" rims....) http://www.klmstore.com/icon-2010-fj-cruiser-suspension-system-stage-2-53062.aspx
