| Hi ya'll,
Just traded in my 2010 2LT Camaro for a 2012 Silver TRD FJ with a rack and bumper. I've had it about a month now and have LOVED the size of it. I'm a big guy at 6'4 230 and it's extremely comfortable for me. I'm planning to hit Kure Beach/Burgaw this summer with this new rig. Any recommendations for me with going out? Obviously I'm not too experienced with this sort of thing coming from the Camaro.
Also, any recommendations for parts/upgrades? I'm really looking to play with this thing. I know I'm at least going to get some lights because with my light guards I feel like my lights aren't too bright...
Shoutout to the guy in the loaded white FJ in wilmington who waved at me today. I saw your sticker for this forum and headed this way. Loved your ride.
Thanks everyone. | |

| Also, is there any way to make the compass stop blinking? It's not something that really bothers me until I notice it on a drive. | |

Your compass needs calibrating...its in the owner's manual how to do it. If you don't have the manual, do a google search for "calibrate fj cruiser compass," ...you will get several hits, including some Blue Room threads on how to do it.

| Welcome! The guy in the white (aka Iceberg) FJ in Wilmington was no doubt Paul Ward, a good guy.
We went out on the beach at Fort Fisher last fall, it was great, and not overly crowded. Remember to air down; it will drive and steer a lot better. Get a day pass at the welcome center there neat the aquarium.
Also check out the club's facebook page, some of us hang out there quite a bit.

| Yeah I actually got in contact with him on FB already! But thanks! And yeah I'd love to go out to Ft. Fisher a fair amount this summer as I live nearby when I'm home from school. | |

| Miles. I've already posted there a few times. The most recent is probably my rig and my buddy's taco in the snow. | |
