2011 Iceberg TRD automatic Build Thread

So in January 2011 I purchased a Iceberg TRD automatic FJ from Fred Anderson in Raleigh. I had it for about a month and I purchased little things like Husky Floor Liners and got the front two windows tinted 20%. I also purchased a A-Trac button for $60.00 because for some reason my FJ did not come from the factory with it.

Picture as soon as I got it home.


 I soon got the itch to do something to it. I purchased a ToyTec lift kit and installed it myself.

After the lift install I decided to tint the rear windows 5% over the stock. Lets just say aint no sun gett'in through there. I also added a custom Shove/ Axe Mount to the roof rack using some brackets I found at Lowes and some QuickFists.



After that I decided I liked the "black out" look so I plasti-dipped my front and rear bumpers. And upgraded the headlights to Silvania ZXE (they are really bright).



I guess the deer didn't like my plasti-dip so it ran into me . Now the FJ has a bumper from a trail teams.



Also I added some Outpost Off road sliders I purchased from Brian. Rattle caned them with a combination of bed coat and black spray paint.

Then I added Wet Okle camoflague seat covers to the front seats only right now. I also went with the gun pocket on the seat cover.





Then most recently I plasti-dipped my stock TRD rims.

That deer must've been running fast to hit you and do that much damage.  Looking good!

Does Lowes also carry QuickFist? I'm thinking of adding a shovel to my ride too.

I don't know how fast the deer was running, but I was running about 65 mph. It was about 3 in the morning too, waiting about 2 hours for a Trooper   I don't think lowes has the Quickfist's. I ordered mine when I ordered my lift.

Looks awesome man, I like your style with the camo seats and Springfield, I have a very similar setup!  By the way, what kind of fixed blade is that you're carrying, and do you have it strapped to the E-brake?

Its a Gerber Prodigy I believe. I actually won it at the truck show last year. Its between the brake and the seat and the molle type straps are on the brake handle.

So I finally gave in and blacked out my mirrors and handles :

Grill is next, but I ran out of plasti-dip today

That makes a whole world of difference! the grill will be icing on the cake!  MOAR DIP!!!

 Thanks yeah i like it, I'll have to paint the center rear piece too. Even thou no one would ever notice

Plasti Dip is not just for trim, bumpers and rims anymore: I did the front grill and I didn't stop there, and before anyone asks yes the light still shines through it. Even in the day light, its only 2 thin coats.
