Nick led most everything with Teresa walking up ahead to film.

| The hardest part was having no clue what to expect on any of the trails, being the first time there. The only thing we could do, was assume that a single black diamond trail was in our wheelhouse. This was the case with Trail 3, which we all ran with no need for the winch (including Paul). Trail 44 really should have been a double black diamond - but it was listed as single black, so we went for it. There was no turning back after the first obstacle, so we had no choice but to continue on over each new climb that got progressively more difficult. We all had to winch up in 3 or 4 spots. Since Paul doesn't have a winch, it took some interesting snatching/winching from up ahead. This was a bit crazy in spots where I was still on the steep part of the hill and trying to pull Paul up, as well as myself at the same time. It actually made it interesting, and kind of fun in a crazy kinda way. We definitely got our recovery training all in And just to defend poor Paul - he had no intention of tackling 44 with us - especially knowing he was already on his spare tire. But when we got to the trail head, there were no good options for him to get back to the parking lot - other than back where we had just come from. That could have been a worse choice, as if he would have popped another tire while by himself, we would have been out of range to come back and help him - and there was very little traffic out there. So we decided it would be best for him to follow up 44 with us. Luckily, he waited till the very top exit of 44 onto the gravel road to pop his second valve stem off..... | |

No leading for me on this trip. I passively forced Nick to lead. I used him as my guinea pig to see where the rocks were that might hurt the underneath. In all honesty though the hardest stuff we ran had very little rock. The women were not happy that we proceeded with Trail 44 after we came to the 1st hill climb. Then as the trail took longer and longer, and got harder and harder, the women were quite upset. Very little picture/video was taken then. So you have to believe us. |

| Yep. I think the only time my skids actually touched something, was the dirt mound in the middle on that first hill climb on 44. Otherwise, only the sliders were necessary. | |

| I think the bugs were actually attracted to the dryer sheets! But that worked, since they would land on those instead of my head..... | |

Think about what your next weak point will be when you replace your tie rods with a heavier duty unit. Tie rods are relatively easy to replace on the trail..

| Larry destroyed his steering rack at Windrock this past weekend. Mainly because he is running a gusseted tie rod, and when he slid down hard onto that wheel instead of bending the tie rod the rack blew apart
$70 tierod $600 steering rack
