So with the new suspension, larger tires, added weight, and changed geometry i think its time or upgraded brakes. i am noticing that my braking distance has gotten larger since everything got installed.

recommendations? I am looking at the EBC brakes on pureFJcruiser

EBC is some good stuff. If your rotors are in good shape, the brake pads alone will make a big difference and save some cash. Most guys really like the "green stuff" pads. I'm running them in the rear already and have them ready to install in the front when I take it all apart.

In the meantime, if you have a chance to get on some empty roads and really get hard on your brakes a few times, it'll clean some of the crap off your brakes and you'll notice a decent performance increase. Make sure you avoid coming to a complete stop when your brakes are hot though.

I might just do all new rotors and pads, just because its been a while since my truck has gotten new brakes, and I put 30k on her last year.

EBC are definitely good brakes.

I went with the Power Stop kit (rotors / ceramic pads) from RockAuto. I have been very happy with them. Any upgrade to ceramic pads alone will greatly help braking. Yes the holes are really just 'bling'

Haha, my brakes are all original with 92k miles on them. Never turned, never touched until I recently replaced the rear pads. Judging by my tire usage, I forget to slow down for turns Smile

It's the K138 kit on there....but I guess you could do the other Daily Driver kit (KOE138) and save $100...Its the pads that are going to help and they are the same ceramic ones.

BUY NEW CALIPER PINS. They're cheap. I had to cut mine off. (Under "Caliper Guide Pins")

Here's a little 5% off
