| Has anyone tried setting 5100s on 3rd setting and then 5000 miles later reset on 4th and to also raise the back 1.5 inches. Or is it better to leave the front where it is. OME med springs for rear 285/70 17 Michelin LTX AT/2. Back end sags when hauling load on trips occasional light trailer use. Bike rack and cargo rack also some. From y'alls experience what would be best? | |

| I have 5100s in 4th setting up front and OME springs in the rear. I have a built in storage unit in the rear with lots of gear and tools so it is pretty heavy. No sagging yet and I have been running it this way for close to a year. I have 285 Falkin Rocky Mt ATs | |

| New rear springs should give you like 2" of lift...so youd want the 4th notch im sure....unless you want the rear 2" higher! I think youll still get a little rake on the 4th notch with that setup | |

| OME 895E 1.5 mediums. Would like to do it in two stages front and tires then back in 5000 miles. Or is it a bad idea? | |

| Not a problem per se...
You'll have to take the struts back out again to adjust to the 4th notch which can be a PITA.
Im wanting to go from notch 3 to 4 and add rear spacers, but that is a lot more work than just popping spacers (or new springs) in.
It will need another alignment with each adjustment as well or youll eat the new tires up.
All at once will save time and money, unless you go 4th notch from the beginning. Youll have a weird backwards rake for 5K miles | |

| I'm with Adam on this. I'm not sure if you're installing the 5100s yourself or not, but the extra trouble of taking everything apart again, adjusting them to the 4th notch and reinstalling them isn't worth the effort. If you're paying for the install, it's certainly not worth it. Is there a reason you're waiting for the rear, or is it a cash issue? If it's cash, I'd wait a bit longer, do both at the same time and save yourself money in the long run.

| Ye. Shouldn't rub the body mounts...those tires are pretty tame. If it did it can be adjusted with caster, but you probably wont want an alignment anyway until you get the lift on.... so overall you should be fine. If it even rubs a tiny bit, it will probably be plenty drivable in the mean time. | |
