| Does anyone else have problems with some gas pumps not working correctly with the FJ? Only certain pumps do it but they just will not stay in "auto". they trip as if the tank was full, constantly. I would assume it was just a bad pump but I have this happen alot in the FJ at various pumps.
Just found this on the blue room.

yeah I just found a thread about it. great feature! I love standing in the cold to fill up. because of odd design. some say if you make it pump slower it wont do this. idk Do some testing I guess. | |

LINK This occurs when the nozzle is too far in. Pull it back a half an inch, and it usually does fine. |

| I've hardly ever had any problems, but Brians suggestion does work great. | |

| Mine used to do it all the time and it was much worse when it was cold out. I've fixed it now with the body lift. No longer a problem. I guess the filler hose is now at a better angle or since the tank stayed in the same place, and the filler neck got raised with the body. | |
