You all know the Prius. It's a little hybrid sewing machine essentially and that got Toyota to thinking... "Hey, we did pretty good with this so maybe we should venture into sewing machines". Toyota got it's start by building textile looms. Only after many years did they begin producing motor vehicles

Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember that. So I've got it backwards then? The Prius is the 2nd gen sewing machine?
