Sequence of skid plates

Since money is tight, I'm going to be buying skids as money allows, likely one or two at a time. What's the best order to get skids? I want protection in the most vulnerable places first obviously. Before actual plates, I'll be getting some new rear lower links and mounts since mine are a tad butchered.

id go from front to rear with the plates...im going to be building my own...little bit of work and mostly flat stuff so not alot of actual "building" more like haveing them bent and a few cuts...

I go out of town every six weeks and get an extra $ or two, so I'm picking mine up a piece at a time as these trips occur....I've already got Rocktek (couldnt get Outrider to answer an email, when they finally did, I had already picked up the Rocktek weeks ago) , front/rear lower link and rear shock mount armor (since mine were mashed up as well). This week I am ordering Boztec rear diff armor. Next trip Ricochet front A-arm, then from front to rear, Budbuilt front, mid, transfer case, cross member, and gas tank. There is no particular rhyme nor reason for my order, it just came to me in the middle of the night!

Paul we will have almost identical skid setups. I went with the Bud Diff skid though. No reason other than convienence.

My tentative plan is

Front Bash / Engine
Rear link mounts
Rear Diff
Xfer case / Crossmember / Tank area (not sure how many pieces)

Next time you hit Lenoir just head over to Bud Built shop and pick em up as you can afford them front to back for sure.

Does he hold pretty regular weekend hours?

We got some skids for a buddy's runner 2 years ago on saturday. He usually answers his own phone. Good luck. He will give you a shop tour etc. very personal loved meeting him.

I've met him on a Saturday. Picked up my diff skid last richland road trip. Awesome guy to talk to. I would call him in advance if you are looking to pick up something specific.
