| I am taking my FJ from stock to lightly modded and I am going to use this thread to post pics as I go. I just put my new Demello Offroad Evil Eyes bumper on today, as well as a bandi mount and CB antenna a few days ago. The bumper was very easy to install and took me about an hour to do by myself. I have Demello Offroad sliders on the way that will be going as well. Pics of the sliders and a cb install will be posted up soon. My plans for the very near future include a winch, 3" lift, 33's, a body mount chop, and Bud Built skids. | |

| If/when you do all those mods you mentioned, you will exceed the level of "lightly Modded" I think. I would say that light mods don't include replacing major body parts like the front bumper. BTW, that is an awesome looking new bumper! I need to do that to mine. Great pics. | |

Thanks! So let's call it "moderately modified". I decided yesterday that since I already have an Odyssey battery that I run as my only battery right now, I am going to throw the stocker back in and use the Odyssey as an aux battery. I want to run my ham and cb radios, bumper lights, winch, etc. on a separate battery. Since my PCMJ 1700 is bigger than most run as an aux battery I am not going to put it in the front of the engine compartment like many do. I am going to use the open area against the firewall on the passenger side.

| Man, if your FJ gets those kinds of presents for Thanksgiving, what does it get for X-mas? | |

| Lol. Well my thinking was to order all the big stuff first, then let it nickel and dime me for all the little stuff I would like to do. I ordered the Radflo kit from Toytec with Icon UCA's and 33x12.50 tires and 17" steelies. I should have all that by Wednesday; if I do I'll go out to URE on Sat the 1st. | |

| I received my suspension stuff today, the wheels and tires I should have Wednesday. I plan on installing it all Wednesday and heading out to URE on Sat to play.
I also ordered a Dirty Parts dual battery kit today along with a fuse panel, power inverter, and an extra 12V socket. I already have the PC1700MJT battery that I'll be using as the second battery. That will be all it gets for a while.

| The front took me 2 hours on the first side and about 30 minutes on the other.
The back was only about an hour.

| Very nice, man! Those tires don't look TOO bad with the lift, but I'm sure the new ones will look much better! | |

| How much lift did the Radflos give you in the front? | |

| I saw the jack handle in the rear picture and wondered for a second "what in the heck is that extra link doing in his rear suspension?" and then I looked more closely... | |

| They advertised 0-3.5" on the lift, and I'd say the lift gave me 2.5 -3 out of the box. I was stupid and didn't measure before and after...although my front had sagged a touch from the bumper. Overall so far I am very satisfied with the quality of what I received as well as the ride quality that I have. It looks a little low in the front in the pic but it is slightly downhill. On level ground the front and back are even. I wish I could have used the stock wheels, I really like the TRD wheels, but I wanted to go with a 33x12.50 and so I ordered a 9" wheel. | |

| I did have to buy heavy duty jack stands in order to get stands that were tall enough to do the back. It was either pay $60 for the stands or $60 to have someone do the rear for me. At least with buying the stands and doing it myself I have stands to show for my $60. | |

This is the same rationale that I use to get most of my tools. Be careful, it's a slippery slope...
